What? I'm saying subtle payoffs happen all the time in cities/counties across the U.S. Just go take a look at your local public records. How much property is owned by local officials that is eventually sold off to developers, their subsidiaries, their partners or other corporate interests with business pending.

Show us any property that doubled in value in one year and I'll show you some shenanigans.

Even if he was behind the leak - he didn't force MSNBC or Rachel Maddow to take it without thought and hype the crap out of it as some kind of bombshell before releasing it to the world. Or are you going so far as to say that MSNBC secretly love Trump and are willfully helping him here?

Why pay nearly double what trump paid only two years earlier, make no improvements even though the property had a mold issue. Then never move in or even visit the property and now it's scheduled to be torn down. Leaving the Russian with an empty lot he paid the highest real estate price in U.S. history for?
Yeah that guy isn't a dummy and didn't acquire billions by making bad real estate deals. This was something else entirely.

They ran it because at the end of the day MSNBC is a business. A business that runs on ratings. It didn't matter what was in the returns. They knew they could hype them up and see their ratings skyrocket. Let's be fair political ideology doesn't really matter when there's money to be made.
