appologies - i should have been more precise - the ture flat earth delision cultists claim is :

the moon is 3000km above the plane of the flat eaeth an 50km diameter

or some such idiocy - i CBA sullying myself at a flat eart web page to get the exact numbers

You forget how empty space is. There's nothing to cause friction and slow the outer atmosphere down. No energy is needed for movement, only for acceleration and work.

No worries. I've seen flat earth theories that said the Sun was super small and close to Earth like that. But I hadn't seen the ones saying the Moon was that small. That's actually pretty funny.
