Wonder why there is very little legitimacy in ufology?

Because the world isn't ready for the truth, obviously.

But the world is ready to buy into Tom DeLonge books and hype.

I'm not sure which of us is in greater need of sarcasm tags at this point.

At least now the fact that this is a sci-fi movie project is out in the open. Or maybe not. Maybe he has been misunderstood and has been working on this movie in addition to other "big things" like, you know, disclosure. Hard to say.

One thing's for sure, though...

If you're going to explore the unknown, you're going to need a skateboard.

Tom Delonge has as far as I know, never once said he was going to bring about disclosure. If you listen to some of his earlier interviews, he even hinted at it being dangerous -- i.e. once humans learn of one type of the others/aliens, they possibly would destroy our civilization.
The wiki leaks thing seems to have messed things up, in that he's no longer allowed to talk about such things, or mention how our souls might be being used, and I don't think he has the support he once had.

So no, he's not going to bring us disclosure, and has never intended to. A lot of the negativity around him, has come from people misquoting him, and then other people taking those misquotes as fact.
Tom Delonge really "did" have the support of the higher ups, and was being fed genuine knowledge of what they know so far about aspects of a complex phenomenon. That doesn't mean the higher ups fully understand the situation.

Well...

Also, that's what the source article for this thread claims. Here's more:

Tom Delonge Continues to Disappoint UFO Community with Unrelated Announcements

It's not like we're making this stuff up.

If Tom DeLonge is, in fact, being perpetually misquoted or misunderstood by literally every single source available, including him, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect him to set the record straight.

There's a post somewhere on this site, where Peter Levenda sets the record straight.

ETA: express.co.uk is a joke, no one takes them seriously.

Apparently, no one takes any of this seriously, including Tom DeLonge.

The Express didn't make this up, as the other links I referenced -- which include links to Tom's twitter feed -- make clear.

If you have any source that refutes all the others, then by all means, let's see it.

its like i said before, no point labelling him just yet, this could be all deliberate, i believe he is a tool for deception, but i know that could be wrong also.. i feel news is due.

17/06/2017 .... would be a good date for something big to happen!
or 17/07/2017...

we should do a sweep or something

From the source article: "Tom DeLonge has claimed "a big announcement" in the world of alien and UFO disclosure is due;" where "a big announcement" is a quote from Tom Delonge and the rest is made up by the article.
I don't have the time to find and go through C2C interviews and twitter posts (I do recommend you search Peter Levenda's posts on here though), when the burden of proof is on you to find something where Tom is saying he's going to bring about disclosure.

I think the burden of proof is on Tom DeLonge to disclose whatever the hell it is he's going to disclose.

Wow...may our alien overlords have mercy on our assholes because they are really going to # us...

We won't see it coming when it does...it will just come and go as fast as possible like a Ram and worst thing is won't leave a tip or a number like an a giant one eyed astral monster with many fists from hell ..

This is true.
People are just fed up with the over hyped bs.

Maybe he’s going to disclose that he’s not disclosing anything...or he has nothing to disclose

Btw isn't the 60' days up?

My personal theory was he naively thought he hit paydirt with his friendship with podesta. Finds out a few months later podesta is a wack job and his friends a bunch of freaks and now hes standing around like a putz with his spud in his hand and nothing to show for it. Kinda hard to live that down.

I have a similar fear. Not sure if it was Podesta or not, but I get the feeling one of his contacts gave him an update, "No Tom, you're not saying # about this" "I know we said soon, but we changed our minds".

Honestly, he has too much to lose for him to go against the power the be. If his handlers change their minds, he's left hanging in the wind. And they successfully discredit him at the same time.

I have fewer and fewer expectations that we'll see anything come of it.

My take is different.

I think he honestly thought podesta and company knew something. Everybody thought delong must be accepted by the powers that be and somehow an insider.... Including himself....hence the naiveness i paint him with.

Problem is the MIC dont like podesta and company. They think hes an asshat. The MIC are the ones behind the "ufos" if they dont trust podesta and company, and for good reason they dont, then hes not going to learn any of their closely held secrets.

Ergo podesta and company are not insiders nor power players in this subject matter. About as useless as any other nitwit delong could have aligned himself with.

I told everybody this months ago but few listened.

People like the general at wright patterson probably found out about the delong ufo circus combined with his apparent leverage of certain younger demographics. It was a seemingly perfect opportunity to hoodwink a new generation of ufophiles into some alien conspiracy. Perfect way to get them away from the truth which is military hardware. They bennewitzed delong and company. Played him like a fiddle.

Delonge was then left standing with a bunch of hype he cant live down now. Its kinda embarrassing for the guy. But hey its how these things often play out.

If he had done proper due diligence like a good researcher he wouldnt have fallen for the okiedoke.

Truthfully if you want to figure out the ufo enigma youre going to have to brush off the old physics books get a little bit better of an education and start asking the right questions. The MIC isnt going to just spill or spoon feed anybody how this fantastic technology works. Youre on your own. Truly.

Following "believers" in a echo chamber is not going to get you answers. That crowd just is ignorant and doesnt know. And they often dont wanna do the work to do real research other than collect ufo stories but then not actually analyze them properly. Its extremely common in the ufo field and its why they dont get anywhere. And its why the field is mired. Even mufon is guilty of this their scientific explanations are piss poor and laughable. They need to try better. Or start thinking harder.

The "ufos" are even more wonderous when you actually understand them. Theyre fantastic bits of engineering. Humans should be proud of them. Everytime you think humanity is hopeless or dumb (maybe collectively we are) look at a "ufo" and think to yourself 'nope were damned capable as a species and more cleaver than we thought.' We should be proud of ourselves.

As for the line of thought 'no we should be ashamed at the classification and public suppresion of all this technology. We should all be able to use it and better humanity.' Problem is the science behind them is too big a leap at the moment capability wise for the average human as a collective. To disruptive to many facets of our economy and collective understanding. Rememver were pretty dumb as a pack. Its like giving a child matches and gasoline. A well meaning guy playing mr wizard in his garage could accidentally level half his city. As a collective were just not ready.

On the bright side mainstream science is quickly catching up to the scientific knowledge of parts of the MIC. There are lots of breakthroughs in the public sector that will usher them onto the same discoveries. The publics going to know sooner or later how the things work.

i have the horrible feeling that this big announcement is so we keep looking at what hes bringing out, books, documentaries, the cast for his new film, and everything else he is selling, if that turns out to be the case, then he has earned himself a life long troll in me!
