ATS intentionally subverted by members supporting political/Trump/Clinton/etc threads?!

Hi. I have many interests across a broad spectrum and have visited this website for a long time, creating a profile only several months ago. However, I feel that the time has come to write my first real thread on ATS under this topic and in regard to the proliferation of politicised threads. The following is my opinion only and not based on any inside knowledge. It refers to threads that focus on the political developments or what are deemed to be political developments, almost always regarding Clinton or Trump, in the USA.

Not only is there an extraordinary number of such threads, but this number also seems to be far greater than there generally has been in the past.

Not only are the threads politicised and seemingly designed to divide, but their ability to attract posts and support and to stick around in the Top sections of ATS is way beyond their level of interest.

For sure, the current political climate in USA is both important and interesting. The decisions made by Trump 'in power' will reverberate across the world and already are doing so. The actions of Clinton over the years is enough to make an open-minded researcher sick with disgust at the people who hold power in the world. Regardless of how interesting and important all of this is it is NOT as important or interesting as the topics which should be the focus of ATS.

Can I now venture to suggest that as in the real world, where the powers that be are constantly working to bring divisions into human consciousness to draw attention away from why things are wrong, on ATS the same is happening? I do not believe that enough people with minds that want to focus on specific instances of bull# regarding US politics are also considering the big questions of ancient history, space, the spiritual and supernatural world, the financial system behind word power and other serious topics at the same time.

I believe that vested interests are ensuring that certain threads occupy the top spots on ATS. They are doing so intentionally and with the purpose of distracting the general ATS community from focus on other issues.

There is no reason that I am aware of that ATS members (or long-time lurkers) would always be preferring to highlight some minor press conference by Trump over something of real value. There is no reason why these sorts of political threads would occupy virtually ALL of the top advertised threads on ATS even if some genuine members were caught up in the charade that US political machinations are more important than who built the Giza Sphinx or who controls the major stock markets. There is no reason why this site would have moved away from what it always has been IF IT WERE NOT FOR PEOPLE INTENTIONALLY MAKING IT HAPPEN.

That is my opinion and it feels right even though I can't prove it.

The one problem is why would anyone want to destroy ATS and turn it into a sham? ATS is not an investigative journalist that has the connections, evidence and will to bring powerful people or systems down.

So, maybe it is just the case that people who desire to spend their time arguing about Trump or Trump-related protests or whatever have been drawn to THIS website, of all, to spew forth their opinions and relegate other topics to the margins. THAT...seems unlikely. Maybe I am on to something after all.

Not sure what you are getting at. We've had several threads lamenting that ATS is no longer what it was and has gone mainly political, but the fact is that people write about what is interesting to them. Everyone can start threads, including you. If you want to explore the issues of the Giza pyramids, by all means do so. We'll be waiting for you! But instead, you started a political thread. Hmmmmm.

Ah , you seem to have Forgotten that Browsing this Site through it's Individual Forums is a way to Avoid Viewing Distasteful Threads that you might find an Objection with . If you happen to be Viewing " Recent Threads " , then I can see where the Political Ones might be more Numerous than other Topics on this Site .

I think the big problem is the general MSM is no longer promoting wild hare conspiracies like UFOs and long term serial killers and genuine science/medical topics.

I've been here on and off for 12 years (this is my second ID) and never a year goes by that there aren't a few complaint threads about ATS not being either what it should be or used to be.

Personally, I think ATS reflects what people are thinking about in real-time. Therefore, it is constantly changing.

To me, that's what keeps ATS relevant.

Threads that are criticizing ATS for political threads seem to be appearing about every week now.

I suggest that instead of some nefarious plot to stop other types of threads, perhaps these threads are popular because people are interested in them. To my knowledge,political threads do not in any way shape or form inhibit members from making any other type of threads that people want.

So if you and so many other people are interested in other types of threads, perhaps it would be more fruitful to actually make those threads instead of complaining about what other people are doing.

But seeing as how this is ATS, your conspiracy is welcomed.

So I will propose a counter theory.

The fact that so many threads are popping up, many of them with many stars and flags, that are complaining about political threads shows that there are outside forces that know we are speaking the truth on these political threads, and want them shut down.

So much as you feel that those of us that post on political threads are seeking to destroy ATS, I think you and people that post threads like yours are doing just that. And seeing as how you have only been on ATS for two days, it seems more likely you are an agent sent to harm this community.

See, not so much fun to have accusations like that thrown at you.

What are you Thoughts on what is going on in Antarctica in the Last 4 Months ? Were traces of an Ancient Civilization Actually Found there , or is that Story just a Fabrication in your Opinion Mr. X ?

B52 Bombers to North Korea
Marines to Syria not invited by the Syrian government called invaders by Assad
Massive amounts of materiel headed to both the east a west coasts of the USA
Parachutists to the middle east
Continuation of European military build up
etc etc.

But just keep monitoring Trump's twitter the Generals in charge like that.

I think an old civilization may have existed there.

It's entirely possible the land mass was closer to the equator at one time.

We know continental drift is real.

Yes , Charles Hapgood's Theory of Crustal Displacement was even given Validity by Albert Einstein at the time it was proposed . Antarctica could have had a Very Different Climate from today if the Continent Shifted North of the Equator .

When I first came to ATS, I was interested in conspiraxies.

Most of my interested were politcial conspiracies.

JFK, 9-11, Gulf of Tonkin, Bilderberg Group, Bohemian Grove, and other such things.

Yes I would poke in on UFO or Sasquatch threads, or tech threads (I still do) but I had nothing to add there.

All of these theories I mentioned above have to do with shadowy powerful people controlling our government and wway of life.

Now we have a president that is seemingly being attacked nonstop by deep state. We have wikileaks confirming what were once considered crackpot conspiracy theories. And in this environment, our entire political system is seemingly being confirmed as one big conspiracy.

Rather you believe Trump is fighting those powers, or is a plant for them to further strip our rights away, it is an interesting conversation.

So I don't understand why so many people are posting threads saying this isn't what ATS was meant to be.

Im probably not even on the right website anymore 10 years ago no conspiracy buff would buy into the left-right paradigm but now that we have reached the stage where every conspiracy proposed in the last 20 years is becoming reality theres no one commenting on it or if one does its totally ignored

These political threads are getting old fast. What we need is some good doom porn not related to politics. There has to be something major going on because they are distracting us with politics. Maybe something is heading our way from outer space and they do not want us to know about it. Maybe there is going to be a major earthquake in California shortly and they do not want us feeling sorry for the people there when California goes into the ocean. Maybe Monsanto is fueling this so they can get people's focus off of them, I have not seen a thread on GMO or Glyphosate lately. I think we are being led away from seeing something happen. Maybe some big company is buying the right to all the water from our government and is doing this by bribing people with future good jobs or Swiss bank accounts.

The Political carrot is keeping us preoccupied and someone is really fueling this.

Take notice that the ones defending the over saturation of ats with the same tripe are the ones constantly spamming the boards. Sometimes with blatant duplicate threads. If anyone dares have a different opinion, or try to actually discuss politics, you get bombarded with childish memes or the word of the day jab, (usually snowflake and now 'hypocrites ')

Not only there's no more room for intelligent discussions, but other alternative topic immediately get buried because the same nonsensical threads about trump or 'libtards ' pop up every 10 minutes.

And if you like at ats statistics on google, the amount of traffic has almost tripled since December of last year, that is why mods seldom intervene now, and ats guidelines are overlooked.

Its about clicks and site value. So it doesn't matter if this thread was created in the rant section or the general conspiracy forums, you are going to get the same replies.

One thing that everybody seems to have missed is that being any kind of a serious democrat, a liberal, progressive, snowflake or SJW is a severe addiction in the true sense of the word and why so many of them are in depressive states of mind. With the female messiah now out of the picture, then the only figure to turn to is to the devil, as they will claim, Trump.

I have lost two long-term personal friends, not by me saying a word to them about the election, but because they know I'm of a conservative sort, they have decided, evidently, that I'm no longer worth of a personal association. One of them also moved out of his GF's house last November and is seeing a mental health worker. So be it.

The whole summation of all our conspiracy theories are playing out in real time.

Almost all Trump threads can be summed up as whether Trump is with the NWO or at war with the NWO. and then we have the wikileaks kicker.

I didn't think we'd have people on this site rooting for the CIA and taking their word as truth. Times have changed.
