Maybe ATS should become an art forum?

The place would be a whole lot less toxic!

Hometown done in pen....

Wayne Campbell: So, do you come to Milwaukee often?
Alice Cooper: Well, I'm a regular visitor here, but Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers were coming here as early as the late 1600s to trade with the Native Americans.
Pete: In fact, isn't "Milwaukee" an Indian name?
Alice Cooper: Yes, Pete, it is. Actually, it's pronounced "mill-e-wah-que" which is Algonquin for "the good land."
Wayne Campbell: I was not aware of that.

You're really good!

I love the dramatic light on the portraits. It makes them seem so intense and moody.

holy smokes bri, just some sinceriously amazing work work there. Keep an eye on your message box, you going to have one from me soon after I post this reply.

I recently endeavored on a painting class with my wife for our anniversary. To be honest I don't believe I have done anything as a work of art outside of grade school. And even though I look at my piece through some very critical eyes, it was fun doing it, and it felt very uplifting.

I enjoy original penciled work. I have several hanging on the walls I have gotten from friends over the years. Some of them that were gifts I insisted on compensating for, and would not hear no for an answer. I bet you have friends that have done the same. I would really like to have one of yours as well on my wall.

Thankfully, the world is flat

Great work actually! Bet you are a professional. Think that you should really try to take part in something like an online contest to share your talent with others. The one I know I took part in couple month ago and got a pretty cool award with my pencil drawing(it's attached below).

PS: if interested in competing, you can read about it here www.voubs.com... Good Luck!

Haha!!! THANK YOU!!!!
Things like that used to bother me, until i was complaining about some of my work being copied, or not credited to me, to an older gentleman. He told me, "dont be upset! Be happy! When your work is copied or displayed without credit, it is one of the highest and most sincere complements you could ever ask for!"
It humbled me greatly, but it took me a couple days to realize what was more important: the artwork itself? Or recognition for the artwork? Its a wonderful feeling to know that someone got some joy/entertainment out of something that I do for personal enjoyment!!!

Damn nice work!
You have a great eye and fine touch with a pencil.
I especially thought the Clock Rose and Dexter portrait were most exceptional.
I'd say you got a fan base here on ATS.
Be sure to include me among them!

Only if you count me as one of yours!
Im completly flattered that a master of multiple mediums such as yourself enjoyed it! Thank you!
I love the engravings you've done on the guns, and 1"diameter gold piece (which is AMAZING).
Your pencil drawing of the man working is my favorite though. Not only the beautiful values, but the subject matter as well. They seem to blend together, as in my opinion, there's nothing more aesthetically pleasing than a man practicing a craft he takes pride in, as you did in the process of the drawing.
I truly look forward to your future work!!!
