Your work is true!

Dont ever doubt yourself, or ever let one single person ever make you think different!

If I wasn't a destitute cuss I'd love to buy one of your pieces!

Great work! I really like the money art.

I'm also an artist myself, maybe I'll post some work.

My only advice, for your pencil portraits, if you are trying to achieve more realism, try to use less contrast. But if that's the look you were going for, great work

ETA: if you're going to start portraits with Prismacolor. Go light hand and go many many layers. Paper is also very very important. If you haven't tried Stonehenge paper, I highly recommend it for Prismacolors. You can have 20+ layers on this paper. Good luck

Thanks! Ill definetly give it a shot! Im stuck in that 'intensely dramatic' black/grey style, and would definitely like to achieve more realism.
I hope you do post, i love to see others work too! Thank you again for the kind words and advice!

Just saw your edit, ill definitely try some of the Stonehenge. Ive been using Bristol Board. I love it for black and grey, but for Prismacolors, i would have to say its mediocre...

I almost passed this over. Outstanding, love the hidden truths, the dualistic nature, seen them right away.

Those that have an ear, let them hear.

You caught the internal conflict and the brooding aspect of the character. Very well done.

Yea because Bristol is too smooth. The Prismacolor (I'm assuming it's premier?). Are made of wax and very soft so you would be better finding paper that has some tooth. I've experimented with many different papers (hundreds) and Stonehenge is by far the best. And it's inexpensive as well. They come in large deckered sheets in multiple colors. 3-4 bucks for a 30x30 inch sheet or you can buy bundles.

Highly recommend!

Awesome work.
Looking forward to seeing what you can do with the prisms a colours.
My wife uses them often.
They are amazing mediums, but $200 for a set of pencil crayons is kinda steep.
But saying that, everything from Michaels is over priced.

As somebody that has spent thousandsss on art supplies.. Michaels is by far the most expensive place. You are much better off ordering online or finding small independent stores.

I agree wholeheartedly! Id suggest Amazon. i recently got the 132 count set, (1 under the biggest set they sell which is 150 pencils) and it was only about $80.

The moment you touch this paper for the first time, you won't buy any other paper ever again

I have a stack of 100 collecting dust somewhere.. I haven't picked up a pencil in a long time, but this thread is motivating me. Thanks
