Must be a joke. I was considering a technical post going into why white males have an advantage and that things are levelling out and will take time for the white privilege to simmer down to equal privilege. But i dont think this is the thread to go into that. Lets leave the stat that majority of suicides are white males, privilege does not equal happy.

If anyone that is not white thinks it's a privilege to be white, they're being racist against themselves.

You would be excused to think that the whole of Africa was once enslaved, literally every single person who is black must have been a slave to ask for 'reparations'.
However then there is the little problem of African facilitators who took money from the white man to go inland and 'organise' some slaves for them [often in a very brutal and violent way].
Now they were obviously traitors for whom money was more important than their own kind. What if the 'white man' would accidentally pay the families of such traitors? How can they prove their ancestors weren't involved?

And of course Black slave owners, which existed too. Black masters of black slaves. Do their ancestors deserve reparations?

This is possibly the most racist demand ever. Here we are as humans, trying to get rid of the notion that skin colour means anything, yet black people want to stick with it. They want segregation [safe space for just black people, Black Universities etc] and they want money for literally their skin colour. I am black, now gibsmedat.

It's embarrassingly stupid to even come up with something like that. White people who show empathy for the suffering of slaves, have been bending over backward to make the world colourless and give everyone a fair chance, often to the disadvantage of whites [positive action jobs]. Yet Blacks go on and on and on about their skin.
Not every Black person is African either, but that's another story.

Maybe if living in the western world, founded mainly by white people is such a chore, why not hand over land to the Blacks and let them do whatever they want. Like any other humans, let them have their culture and show us what marvels they come up with. Give them Detroit and let it be a shining example of competence and modernism, where there will be no more poor Blacks and no unfairness from the nasty whites. It would be a perfect place...scratching of record coming to a halt...or would it be?
No more handouts for nothing, hard work, responsibilities and nobody to blame.

I had enough of the victim mentality by people who have never been slaves and the punishment of others who have never owned any slaves. There comes a time where I would just give them what they want and see how that goes.
And at the same time let the whites and other races mingle like adults and go forward without whining and handouts.

Oh, and if I sound as if I am generalising, it is on purpose. I personally am fully aware of decent Black people but I generalised because this thread is about generalising white men in the most childish way possible, therefore fair is fair.

Absolutely not.

Statistically my comment is correct. I put that in to illustrate the pressures these white privileged folk. Both at the top end to stay the top end, even if you dont need to work any more to support your lifestyle and family - and at the bottom end being a white male and NOT having anything.

Im all for the best person for the job. Male, Female, skin tone, background whatever.

If theres two perfectly equal candidates and one has a harsh accent (foreign or dialect), you pick the one that everyone can understand. Is that hate or an 'ism' - nope! one had the edge. end of story.

If it's not, then we disagree with the author. If it is, then we agree with the author. But you'll notice almost nobody is against the author, but the ideas put forth.

If anything, satire is properly understood when it ignites the opposition to its dubious premise.

Pointing out the otherwise obvious is not a sign of understanding. Anyone can say "doorknob" while pointing at it. The wise just care to know what's behind the door and discuss whether that matters or not.

Most people are commenting like this article is truth and there really is a movement to add a 5% tax on white people. Not only is this not a bill, it isn't even a thing that the left cares about. It has been pointed out over and over in this thread that the website this article originated on exists to aggregate extreme left or right political views. That plus the ridiculous part about declaring you aren't really white tell me that there is nothing serious about this proposal.

When you respond like that to satire, then you are clearly showing a poor ability to follow through on sources. Plus you are playing into the satire's hands.
