Trump doesn't like the media.

What I find funny is that those who slammed the media just a year ago now think that the media is the standard for integrity and honor.

After the utter SLAP DOWN of the leftist press Trump delivered at the last press conference, it's beyond idiotic to call him a "coward" for refusing to attend an event where the press is not allowed to ask him questions.

What is very clear is that the press comes banging in flapping around like the flying monkeys from Oz......oohhh wow just going to shut the whole thing down with a few just amazing questions and points then go over to the press bar hangouts and masterbate each other.

Trump isn't going because he's scared. Simple as that.

He knows it will be very abusive toward him since he's chosen to wage a war against the media and has done so since his early campaign. This would be a full on assault on him by the media and a fully justified one at that and he knows it.

This is of his own doing however. He's abused the media throughout his campaign and now his presidency. He knows the response will be deadly and he also knows they have every right to do it too.

He hates the fact that the media doesn't love him like he thinks they used to. He wants to be a celebrity who's admired and loved by everyone. But he's not and it kills him. He can't stand it. This event would be brutal and with him being the center of attention and it being mostly negative without him being able to control what is said he'd never be able to handle it.

It's probably best that he doesn't go actually. He'd get so wound up and pissed off there is no telling what he'd end up doing. Let him stay in his safe little bubble of false praise I say. God knows what amazing tantrum he'd throw as a result of going. Concentrate on more important issues and let him hide for now.

He had control over the jokes being told at that roast though. There are multiple interviews with the comedians who talk about the fact that they had to discuss the jokes with Trump himself and the different ways that he wanted to change them which they had to come to some agreement about.

This would be out of his control.

This says more about the media than it does about Trump.

In my opinion, of course.
