"Real" alien pic shuts down 4chan

How can you see that 4chan picture? Whenever I click on an direct link to a 4chan image i get IP ban error.
I was under the impression this was common.

Would you mind uploading the picture you speak of elsewhere please.

I mean seriously. After a week - people still cant figure out to actually save and share the pictures other than hotlinking to 4chan or imgur??? Are people really this computer illiterate??

That really dark image with post material around it? DL'd and saved. No magic needed.

The IP block seems to actually be a block based on referrer.

There is no magic to right-click Save As.
Are people really this dumb in 2017?? Honestly...

Hotlinking to 4chan DOESNT WORK. Yet people do it time and time again. I fear for our younger generations.

Especially considering the fact that alot of people claim there is some sort of "filter" deleting the image.
YET EVEN KNOWING THIS - people STILL hotlink and use Imgur.

I hear ya. So, is it that dark, hardly viewable picture that people are wanting to see? Doesn't sound like the one describedas the original.

For those complaining that the grayscale image is of poor quality, well yes, it is. In theory, it is a remake of the high res version showing the creature that has been auto-filtered from Imgur, TinyPic, and other commonly used image hosts. And apparently, even this grayscale version is actively being scrubbed, and gets automatically deleted when people try to upload it. Which lends credence to the idea that this is the original picture.

Sorry, I don't have a copy of the picture, but others here do. Also, it was recently posted on the active alien thread on 4chan so if you go to the last posts of that thread you should find it easily. There's no need to be hostile, part of the difficulty of this is that the picture is being made difficult to share, I'm not purposefully throwing a wrench in the works.

I'm guessing that the "real" pic will never surface. I'll keep watching this thread though, as 4chan is a real mess. I still hope that someone somewhere has it, and is waiting for things to settle down so it can be posted again.

Long time lurker. I thought I'd post here. I've been following this thread and story for a good few days now. Does anybody have any further details on that weird black and white dinosaur looking thing?

Isn't that simply because some sites including 4chan don't allow direct hot-linking?

No.. my best guess is it's a cactus or similar plant. As of now it's one of the last unsolved images.

No. I've been clicking on links to imgur which take forever to load and then there isn't an image...etc. I have had to repeatedly try to upload here but it's futile

I saw messages on that site a few days back saying it was overloaded. Probably issues from too much traffic there.

Hmm, very interesting. I went and saw the image you were talking about, and if that's really true, isn't it odd how many entirely superfluous details were impeccably photoshopped in? They added a tree, birds, the hikers, and clouds(!), with amazing skill and accuracy. Especially when you take into account this was one of the first purported pictures to appear, that's an awful lot of detail to be added—and with a much more skilled hand—rather quickly after the original picture disappeared. While we were getting half-baked photoshops of reptilian and greys in English meadows, someone was managing to seamlessly photoshop in clouds and hikers to this picture?

It also doesn't answer the question why the modified versions of these pictures are being auto-deleted by Imgur and TinyPic, while I haven't heard that happening with any of the other purported photos. The other strange thing is I could've sworn people were saying the this was the only one that wasn't coming up with matches in image searches, maybe because of the details supposedly added?

For whatever reason, I still think this is the one. But I'm not going to persist if people feel that there's overwhelming evidence that it's fake. If you ask me, it just doesn't add up. And, I might add, it's the only major picture we've seen to this point where we've yet to actually see any entity which can be analyzed or debunked. When you take that fake alien head away, we still don't know what exactly is hiding behind it. I'd love to see the unaltered/high-res version of whatever that is.
