As always, suspicion is not fact. My take was LULZ and fame, followed by get traffic for ads.

I doubt the agencies even care about 4chan other than the usual data collection.

That could be darned near anything in that pic but you've been brutally honest in stating that yourself.

I'd rather have an image that I (and you) cannot personally identify but which might be something interesting, than some incredibly obvious "shopped" utter garbage "alien" image that I could easily put together in under ten minutes on my own computer's image-manipulation software.

So, thank you for posting it. Members far smarter than I'll ever be might well figure something from it.

I also doubt that the various letter agencies take much notice of 4chan. Or us, for that matter. Okay, they likely have people tasked with keeping an eye on us and them, but that's just SOP. The stuff they are really interested in is not going to be sitting out in the open and they are doubtless digging much deeper.

I would guess the chan's owners are as realistic and pragmatic as I am and you are. And yeah, this was likely a little fun thing a member or two set up there just to see where it went. An online social experiment, as it were. But that's ok. It's all interesting and makes a break from politics.

The lighting is way off here. The light at the top of the aliens head looks out of place, and it also looks like it's standing underneath something that gives it some shade in the front.

That's a noble sentiment on the surface, but what if that IS the story? From what we have so far, it is very likely. No iron clad evidence of anything has surfaced. There is no magical picture. At least the facsimiles that have been posted haven't acted very magical. The most noteworthy issue that we have is a lack of evidence of anything at all substantial. What we have left is objectively odd behavior at 4chan, at least compared to what has been observed as normal there. Bannings and 404's have been off the charts there. There is something obviously different going on there.

It's like having two ships on the ocean within proximity of each other. We're on one. It appears there is a fire one the other one. Smoke is evident. Some people are jumping (or have been pushed) off, some of whom are swimming to our ship with takes of woe to tell. The other ship is navigating erratically. And your answer is that the Captain of that other ship gets to do what he wants and it's none of our business and we can't discuss it.

If that's really true, we have nothing further to discuss.

The black and grey has been the top contender for the "real" photo for me. This doesn't quite debunk it, because you can tell in the red circle that the two images are NOT the same. However, a 3D model can be rotated to any angle, so it could still be the same thing. Does the head look the same shape to you guys?

Thanks for pointing out that its a 3D model and not a photo of something real.

I thought it was a movie prop as well, knowing that its a 3D image maybe it could be based off the B&W photo and not just an alternate version with the same program.

It's definitely my top/only contender right now

WHAT alien image? Surely you're not claiming the fakery posted here needs more "analysis." It's just another in a long line of ridiculous pics. What makes it special is its alleged "provenance," where it came from and what its history is. Without the 4chan history, this pic is nothing at all special or worth discussing. The ONLY reason we're discussing it at all is because of the events at 4chan. Otherwise this would be a two page thread.

I have been a lurker on this site for over 10 years. Haven't officially logged in since like 2011 but always watching. Logged back in today to tell you this made me lose my **** laughing so hard. Thank you.

It's been fascinating to watch this uh, "situation," unfold over the last few days. Seen alleged links to aliens, 9/11, secret government image deletion software, psyops, etc. Regardless of whether or not it turns out to be a complete nothing, it's sorta fantastic to see the fires going again on here and something non-political. I'm in the "something was shared that wasn't supposed to be" camp judging from 4chan's actions and silence since this all broke but have no idea what it could have been beyond that. I do feel like though where there's smoke, there's fire.
