"Real" alien pic shuts down 4chan

Do a search for "4chan alien selfie".
Every conspiracy site is discussing it, and a lot of other non-conspiracy forums too.

This thread shows up on the 2nd page of a google search at present.
A lot of people are talking about this.

The fact that noone has even bothered to try to post the original picture IN ANY OTHER MEDIUM than an image - tells me there is no picture.

The image was deleted/failed to save for anyone who may have had the original in 4k.

Well, youre coming off pretty condescending to me and quoting things from others when talking to me. I never claimed 10,000 people were banned. I never claimed it made people sick. But in an effort to make my point.

I saw:
random desert picture with *something* in it ( think thumbnail but not full image)
photo and thread removed 30 seconds or so later
threads pop up asking where did original go within seconds...
those threads get deleted
new threads asking why threads being deleted... start noticing 404 bans
threads asking about user bans
those threads get deleted
new threads with incomplete image files... claiming to try and circumvent mass bans


so on and so forth

Has anyone managed to get a copy of the original image yet? I saw reqs for PMs to someone who claimed to have the image. Anyone rec'd it? Fancy sharing?

If it pops up again, it will be on 4chan. If that happens, my guess is itll get posted as a thread here. Not holding my breath. I have 4chan up just in case there is any movement

You need to read more, they did.

It was deleted from peoples PCs

There might be someone with a photo of their monitor somewhere but there was no reason to believe it was going to be deleted from everyones computers and then simultaneously taken down from DOZENS OF SITES OTHER THAN IMGUR INCLUDING PRIVATELY OWNED PASSWORD PROTECTED SITES

I suppose in regards to new threads being deleted.
If the staff of that board deleted something then I imagine they will delete every thread asking about it. The same would go here.

Prove what, exactly? Prove the fact that people didnt try to upload it unconventionally? Because I browsed about 20-30 threads myself and NOONE did.

There was hundreds of poeple claming to have it. Hundreds posting an image then instantly deleting it again, causing it to "look like it was deleted".

Noone, literally noone, ever tried to upload it as a text or rar file or anything like that. It was image after image after image.
Again, you mean to tell me; over the past 4 days, thousands of people NEVER ONCE thought to think outside the box?

If it was real and I had the image - I would compress it to a 10 part RAR archive. I would post it as a .TXT document.
And literally 100 other ways.

But noo.. let me try posting the actual image... over and over..... "omg it got deleted" ... Let me try again....

The simple fact that there doesnt exist any .txt document or .rar archive or anything like this of the image - IS PROOF ENOUGH that it never existed.

i suppose part of the allure is the confusion here. the mod behavior for 4chan was off the charts when this happened. It just doesnt go down like that.

It absolutely never goes that way, 4chan is hard to get banned from and has the most leniant rules of any modern webforum.

They ban for childporn, dismembered human corpses, photos involving active court cases or crime scenes at the request of the police and that's basically it.

hatespeech, hoaxes, trolling all has it's place there and mass censorship never happens

Are you mistakenly thinking that I told you I have proof, I do not have proof. That's what people claimed in the moments as the mass banning and thread closures and attempted uploads happened.
