"Real" alien pic shuts down 4chan

Considering the fact that many of us saw the link to this thread both on 4chan and reddit - and the fact that this place seem to contain civilsed discussion on the matter - (opposite to 4chan and reddit) i wouldnt be surprised to see new members come in here to discuss.

Why should people "beware" ?? Seems overly paranoid to me..

In any case - I couldnt find out the password to the hidden volume inside the lastgift file, so I dont know whats in there; but presumably it was just clues as to where to find the next clue.

So, it occurs to me some sort of LARP was created ontop of the alien picture. People on 4chan even said it was some sort of "recruitment" and that the alien picture was just a test.

I was in the last mega thread over at 4chan anyway, it seemed pointless to carry on talking about this over there after that got 404'ed.

That is where we have the mysterious files from anyway, on that note, seriously if anyone knows what can be done with the lastgift file besides the numeric pass that leads to porn I would really like to know. It may be a dead end but it frustrates me that I cannot get anthing else out of that file.

The files could be utter BS but it's an interesting mystery for now, while nothing much else is developing.

Are you still on about that "alien" image that got drip fed yesterday in parts?

It's BS..someone uploaded (stupidly) yet another deliberately corrupted image..of the same "alien" taken from face on. Had the same grid pattern on the eyes...they intended to spend the rest of the day slowly drip feeding that "new" "real" image the same way. In order to troll lots of people. Yet this looks like more than trolling for lulz.

So either the "alien" posed for multiple head shots..out in the desert. Or it's a rubber model with chipped paint. You may actually wanna read through my posts here.

The reason the whole image ain't getting uploaded is due to it becoming obvious it's a model..it may even be a commercially available one and people might then identify it. Chances are the eyes have been doctored to throw people off.

It's a cover job..mentioning it being a cover job got me banned twice over there..and mentioning Italian food here made you new members show up.

This debate has been settled, it's a hoax. Let it go, funnel your energy into something productive. Nobody has pictures of Aliens, you are being played like a harp. I can't believe this thread got to 30 pages. Why do so many assume that the real world is like an episode of X-Files? The person who made the thread on 4chan said he was trolling, but keep playing this out if you want if it makes you feel like some kind of accomplished private investigator.

Pretty much this..

Every time someone puts out a viral marketing anything or a hoax or a whatever..the same type of people start in with there "its creepy" or "its getting real now" ..2600 posts later the same people are amazed when it turns out to be a hoax.
