Hi Hun! Good luck in the story contest and in getting that new job! I'm so sorry you didn't get the one you originally were hoping for. You must have been crushed! Fingers crossed on this other one! Thanks for stopping by and letting us know why you haven't been around. Hope to see you again soon!

Any friendly and permissible advice from ATSers for the contest anyone wouldn't mind sharing as I am brainstorming and starting my rough draft this evening?

I would be incredibly appreciative and honored to be able to incorporate your'e golden nuggets of thoughts into this journey into the afterlife I am soon to embark upon.

eta: I am using an old laptop that my mom gave me since she got a new one. It has several annoying quirks, but the worst one is the keys randomly jump all over the place while you are typing.

For instance, I will be writing a sentence with the word, "example" as a part of it. When I begin typing example the computer will suddenly jump from where I am typing, sometimes a paragraph above, and keys completely different from the ones I know I am clearly pressing, appear on the screen....?

So what happens is I'll be typing along and I reach the part where the word example is needed, it'll then take me a moment to realize I am actually typing in the middle of an already completed paragraph
and in a jumble of random letters that I did not click...............~sigh~ and to think, I am trying to win the writing contest....

he
so ill be editing alot and if a post looks atrociuos and totally non sensical, there is a decent chance it was unintentional and I am freaking out behind the screen trying to fix the problems before people read it and think I am retarded

Just let your imagination run wild and go with it. Put on some kind of music that might inspire you and let the words flow. Not sure what else to say really. I have had writers block for a while and hope to break out of that soon. Good luck!!!

My inbox all ways has room for your "moods" so just fill 'er up.

I didn't want to bring my mood into The Shed ....... Now I feel like I was rude for not popping in...

Yes very very rude, not for not popping in, but now I know where my white horse went.
Did you know she can fly? She doesn't show up on radar so let me know when you can be here and I will bake a cake or better make one of my favorite Greek dishes, perhaps some Middle eastern stuff too or Hungarian or Danish or Wiener schnitzel. Or...
I know you can stay till spring, I can cook and you can help plant my willows when the ground has thawed. You can enjoy the animals while I am at work and make use of my library. I have every thing from "How To Everything" to Buddhist and Christian Mysticism.
Her name by the way is Mon Ami.

Shred I know it's not funny, but it's funny. I can picture you getting all pissed off at your computer. I have had many of those moments through the years, where you just want to pick the damned thing up and throw it out the window. LOL Sorry! Take whatever time you need to turn that story out!

Evening Wis Hunny! It's cold as hell here. BRRRR! That's why I'm hiding out at the shed. We have a fireplace here. And...if we use magic, we can change the weather and go outside. Did you see the koi pond garden we have out back?

Wow that was a wake up call. Thank you for sharing that. If our babies are talking to us like this we must listen.

There haven't been any animal catastrophe's today.
My oldest dog, the Beagle Sam is getting more and more tired, but he seems happy and when we are out side he takes off as usual. He may have cancer, but my dear vet says as long as he eats and drinks and is happy we should just let him be. We won't treat him with any thing but pain meds if it gets that far.

Gigi the Rottie is thriving and super active. Compared to a year ago when she was a bundle of nerves and aggression she is now a gentle giant. I am still amazed every day that this dog; that would have been put down if I hadn't taken her, because of aggression, is so loving and calm. So grateful.

How is life in the Shed today?

Here is a cozy fire.

It is cold here too, and the Shed is a grand place to gather for warmth and comfort.
I cleaned my chimney yesterday and am burning the last remnants of wood. How nice it burns when the chimney is clean, Bright and clear.
We complain about the summer heat and forget that winter lasts eight months. So odd.

Awww, Sorry to hear about Sam. Many years ago, one of my favorite cats, a tortoiseshell colored kitty, had breast cancer. I was devastated. Mark and I decided to give her a chance and she had an operation at the age of 10 or so. She lasted another year or maybe a bit longer, but the tumors returned. You would never ever know that cat was in any kind of pain or sick in any way. She still acted the same and was loving as ever, never hid out anywhere. The tumors started oozing and spreading and looked so horrible, we figured she had to be in pain and would probably die soon. We didn't want her to suffer and decided to have her put to sleep. Heart wrenching, but I had to think of her. She lived a very happy and long life.

Your rescue reminds me of the little white Persian we rescued who has since passed away. She was like a wild cat hissing and growling and looked like she would kill you at any moment. LOL I realized that she wasn't mean, just terrified of everyone and every thing. Being deaf, I soon learned how to communicate with her and in time she turned into the sweetest and most loving little sweetheart. Amazing what love and patience can do. Kudos to you for your kind, loving heart and saving the dogs life!

I have never had a fireplace. I wonder if you could throw incense in there. I don't see why not.

Oh, the typing error. I had that happen to me years ago and it turned out my key board needed cleaning. But try to ask Shep he is our geek wizard and can perhaps provide a solution.
Go write.

Uh oh...

Can someone keep an eye on our cats? They are out of control tonight. I think they've been stealing extra catnip.

Stand in the place where you live

Wonder why you haven't before
Now stand in the place where you work
Now face West
