Jacy, I'm glad you were able to be with us today in spite of all the sorrow surrounding you. It's up to you if you want to get another ferret or not. I chose not to get another one when mine died, only because their life span is so short and it hurts so bad when they die. Hugs!

Jess, I can understand Paul being down about his heart. I'm sure it is really difficult having to limit how much he can do now with those marathons and what-not. Having physical problems sucks big time! Hugs to you both!

A gorgeous day out there today! It looks like days ahead of high 60's to 70 or more. A new discount store has opened and my friend and I will be checking that out tomorrow before our groceries and other errands. We'll be going to a Chinese buffet first which is like next door to the new place and cheap to eat there. I think it's 6 and change.

Ok, I'm almost done with my house chores.

Now I have to think about dinner.

I've already got garlic mashed potato's and I have some carrots that I am going to roast.

I also have 3lb of chicken thighs. I ususally use an italian spice rub and grill or broil them.

Anyone have any good recipes that you would share for my chicken thighs?

BBQ chicken in a pan with a tomato/bbq sauce.

You will need onion,garlic,tomato sauce,worcestershire sauce and bbq sauce.

Cover the pot and let it cook.

I think your way of doing it with Italian spice rub is probably the way to go.

Cook them in Italian dressing, just add a pinch of sugar to kill the vinegar. Then I add cheese and mushrooms. Yummy!

Hey Shed-sisters! (sorry guys, all I can see online here are wimmen-folk for now)

I have a mourning kitty on my lap (and keyboard)...had to leave her alone for a while and apparently she "needs love NOW!"
Just got home from mama's where she stressed me out so much that I cried.
The beautiful sunny warm day is now a black pouring thunderstorm.
If ever there was a day to start drinking...sheez...

I will be here for a little while to de-stress and enjoy the company of whoever is around.

I've picked a painting by Masqua to write a tribute poem for that thread, but can't seem to get it started yet.
Thankfully the rain has slowed down and although the hydro flickered, it's still on.

I'm checking out the local online ads to see who's looking for a new home. Macy needs a companion, so will likely get another kitty for her...just not sure how long I should wait as she's definitely missing Sophie and keeps searching for her. Has anybody had any experience with a grieving pet before?

Yup. We're all weirdos.

I dress in a Kilt or Hawaiian shirt, Aviators and BIG Mullet wig.... I carve wooden mushrooms and release them into the wild... I'm pretty sure that qualifies!! LOL
