(I've seen the result of a cat getting into a Racing Pigeon Loft and it's not pretty.)

I'm sure that some individual cats are sweeties and some are not (just like dogs) but I feel more affinity for our canine friends than I do for our feline ones.

Hope your day is going wonderfully. Great writing Sir Palindrome.

I gotta stand with Gordi on the cat/dog debate. Although, as much as I love our canine companions, I'm not real fond of cleaning up after them. I just love watching dogs around babies though. Whenever there was a baby at my parents' place, their dog would park himself near the kid's crib or playpen and just kind of stand guard. Really cool instinct, IMO.

I posted a few more episodes to Falling this morning, but then RL intervened and I wasn't able to get back here to let y'all know. For those of you familiar with the story, this batch covers the Water Drummer's command performance and the ensuing attack of gith-gesaarm. For those of you not familiar...SURPRISE!

Hi everyone,

just a quick message to let you know my wife and I are alive and well & now living at our cottage. Did the move from the flat last Thurs-Fri. Now the painters and decorators can get the flat done so it can go on the market.

Long-term, we'll be staying here. No real point in moving back into the flat when it's done as it'll be up for sale (and there will be nothing there, not even a stick of furniture) and we might have to move out again pdq once it's sold.

However, I wont always have internet available. At least, not until I can get it arranged with an ISP. Right now I'm using my neighbour's, so because I don't want to use up too much of his data allowance I won't be online much for a while.

Please feel free to drop me a line and I'll get back to you when I'm able.

So you and Dada are finally settled at the cottage. How wonderful for you both! It will be nice when you get your internet connection worked out and we can hopefully see more of you. Glad you stopped by to keep us up to date. Now we will want to see pics of the cottage. You have a garden right?

Hello Sheddites far and wide! What is this dog/cat debate? They both have their charms of course, but cats are far easier to care for, therefore, I have had a bizallion cats in my lifetime. LOL

I love this pic...It says so much!

Thanks Timely. I truly think he is a reincarnated angel. I am an animal omnivore, I make a point of relating to them all. Mostly domesticated beings. Horses are probably closest to my heart but they are to big to have indoors.

Any way I took Fred to the vet and all he has is mild diabetes. Jeez. I have been sleepless and crying. He lost two pounds in three weeks, but now I know he will survive. I am so happy. He is my best friend.

Who knew? Had to share this!!!
