Well, there is a simple solution to this PP flap. They should separate their busines. Remove the abortion side of it from the rest. The other services can then receive tax payer monies.

Great idea! Have Planned Parenthood, and then Unplanned Parenthood!

In other words.

The exact same service provided by normal clinics that don't murder babies and expect taxpayers to pay for it.

But apparently with a focus on the PATIENT and not on fleecing the insurance system, which results in higher rates and transfers some of the burden onto tax payers.

No, it's not the same. You need to scroll back. Also, PP doesn't use taxpayer money for abortions.

Taxpayer money does not go to abortions. Do you want every other clinic (where these are I don't know, I think there is one 'free' 'freeish' clinic in my city and it doesn't do gynecology. ) to make 2 separate businesses?

What was in your "Goodie Bag"?
Skittles?---I love those things.

LOl...honestly...condoms. Some were the more expensive brands. I picked a Star Wars Rogue 1 sticker.

Nothing says 'Fun Friday Night Date' more, than a woman with a 'Goodie Bag' of expensive condoms...and a strategically-placed Star Wars sticker.

For now they do. If the GOP can get Trump to sign a bill they want to pass cutting funding then they won't anymore.

LMAO. I can think of a lot of guys who would like that, and they would count the Star Wars sticker first and then the condoms. I wonder what would happen if I went out and got Skittles???? Benedict Cumberbatch or Cillian Murphy will be at my door!

It's estimated that PP spends more than $165 million each year on abortion that they obtain the funding from through private grants and donors. If they can manage to get that much funding then they don't need fed funding.

Then private funding will do it. I have no idea why you are so much against really good, inexpensive (read competitive) women's healthcare. You haven't even been there.

Tax payer money to Planned Parenthood avoids abortions and unwanted children. But once it gets to the unwanted children part, the right will yell about welfare, amirite?

I can't stop Trump from doing fiscally irresponsible things. But I can complain about it.

ya.. sure..
the funding they want to cut is reimbursement for covered services that were provided by planned parenthood.. through medicaid and title x. so let's say it's cut, do you think that planned parenthood will provide those services to the women who are eligible for these programs free of charge and just eat the loss...
or will they just stop taking the medicaid and title x patients. maybe you should flip a coin, heads your win, tails the taxpayers lose because if these women are refused by planned parenthood because the funding was cut, well they very well might be going to those gynecologists that like the op says, are pushing additional. unwanted, expensive healthcare onto them, since well, after all, it's your taxmoney that is paying for it!!!

Thanks for your review, i very much enjoyed it.

I remember going to a PP years ago for the morning after pill (dang condom broke). I remember not waiting very long. I was also far from home, no mother for awhile and remember the ladies there being very sincere and mother-like with me, it made me feel very comfortable.

By whom? Where? If they are indeed spending that much in private funding on abortion, since fed funds do not cover it, though it is perfectly legal, then they do need funds for family planning and preventitive healthcare. I would imagine.

What I had done today, PP will charge in the $700 range, yet it lasts almost 7 years. A private gynecologist would charge my insurance company $1200. Believe me, I asked today.

That is a great money saver for insurance companies, Medicaid and single payers. PP deserves the funding for what they do.

If I didn't have insurance, PP would have charged as low as $7 for the visit and the rest comes from donations and federal funds.
That is where they need the federal funding.

Not very well thought out! You'd have too much competition!

Reldra, I haven't been happy with most of GYNs (except for 1, and he stopped practicing), and I've been misdiagnosed on something pretty major. Men - close your ears, please! I was once told that bad cramps and heavy periods were due to my AGE. I was 30 at the time.

It's good that you actually went and tried them. First hand experience is more important than believing unquestionably what the media tells you. What if the liars were actually lied about? What if someone lied about lying about the lie? Things can make your head spin. And round and round we go. The only thing you can trust is what YOUR experience is. And who knows - maybe the murdering bastards have changed their evil ways!

See, many private gynecologists are only profit minded and give poor diagnoses. One would have had me in an elective surgery running about $30,000+ for no purpose.

If it's the brits you like, I'd avoid anything that's too hard or sweet for their teeth.

You could always try to lure them in with some biscuits, a fresh pack of jammie dodgers may do the trick.
