Because that is what this is. People wanting someone who THEY WANT TO REPRESENT THEM.

They don't think DeVos represents them so they're making their voice heard and are refusing to be ruled over by an unaccountable authority.

Standing and protesting is one thing.. But when you start blocking people, cars, ambulances, etc, then that is a totally different ball game. They want "freedom"... Yet deny everyone the right to free travel. They want free speech, yet silence the other side of their's. I could probably make a page of the ironic hypocrisies but you get the point.

Who did she buy off? The Billionaire president? Peacefully assemble is what our right is. I have a feeling the courts are going to be full now there is a new AG who will enforce the law.

What these people are doing is not peacefully protesting. It is happening all over the country and it is those who support the president being attacked while being told they are the ones causing the hate. Like how stopping immigration from terrorist countries will spawn more hate. BS.

I think it is very ignorant to hate someone who has not even started in a position to prove themselves.

Well free travel to only who they agree with politically, and can be used to pad their voting base.

This is like that time when they wantred to send the little colored girl into the school, but some folks showed up to keep her out because that wasn't HER school building and they'd be darned if they let her into THEIR school with THEIR kids!

Do we need to call out the national guard to escort the rich woman into the poor kids' school so she can get a sense of what needs to happen there?

It does beg the question what would be the reaction if she sat in her Washington DC office, merely sending out edicts. I would expect protesting in that case. But, in this case, she is actually going to a troubled school, in person, to speak with the administration. Seems to me that SHOULD be part of that job.

But then, to paraphrase a regurgitated old worn put phrase I have heard for the last 8 years, "why resist if you have nothing to hide?". Are these protestors not willing to allow their educational administration to speak with their new boss? I understand that they disagree with her appointment. But you have to allow her to do her job before you can judge her proficiency.

Hmmm....sounds eerily similar to "you have to pass the bill to see what is in it"....again, which was heard the last 8 years.

How did these paid agitators know when and where she would show up?

Traitors in her own office left over from the Obama regime?
