A look at history reveals the tipping points, the events which started the World Wars were not huge.

World War I: the assassination of Franz Ferdinand by a Serbian nationalist tipped the balance

World War II: The Marco Polo Bridge Incident which spurred Japan into going to war with China. What happened to start the skirmish is still a mystery. (A skirmish that turned into a battle which turned into a war) and the invasion of Poland by Hitler's Germany.

Even the invasion of Poland, as big of a deal as it was, might be echoed if, say, Russia were to go into Ukraine, or China and Japan began fighting over the manmade militarized islands being built in the South China Sea.

The US could do many things both overtly and behind the scenes to either mitigate or Inflame events.

Well keep in mind that part of what fueled the start of WWII was the reopening of freshly closed wounds from WWI. Germany always thought they had a bad break from losing and were always planning on revenge, and even then the rest of the world STILL didn't want to go to war with them. Whether Japan joined them or not was another story.

But I see your point. i just don't think Trump is diplomatic enough to plan something like this out. The only outcome I could see is if WE became Germany for this WW.

Much of the political decision making is done on a level that has nothing to do with politics.
It's the media spinning down on Bannon. Still searching for the weak link in Trumps administration. Their current strategy is it to not directly attack Trump anymore. Even ignore him in the news but attack his staff and family. Bannon is not an angel but he really knows his stuff. He would have been (maybe is) a very good ATS'er.

The President can start a war. Congress can make it so. That has everything to do with politics.



I'm pointing to a specific ideology held by Bannon that could have wide ranging implications for the direction that both the President and Congress may take in regards to conflict both internally in the US and in the world at large.

I do not share this ideology and find it dangerous that it's held by someone in his current position.

I appreciate you have a different view and both a trust of, and admiration for, Bannon.

You may be right, he could be an ATSer!!

1. Bannon believes we are at war ideologically and physically, and that it is inevitable a new Great World War, bigger than anything we've ever seen before, will (and should) happen

2. He is now in a position to make this happen through direct influence on the President and in the National Security Council.

This is more than "Planet X asteroids are gonna kill us, man" doom porn, it is a worrisome and real current circumstance.

I also worried about Dick Cheney being the big Halliburton honcho at Bush's side... How did that one work out?

Bannon is fantastic, though I don't think he has as much power as many claim. Trump does what he wants, Bannon wasn't even brought on until late in the campaign. I hope Bannon is directing Trump's Presidency, he could deal a profound blow to the globalist agenda, but most likely Bannon is just one of several advisors Trump gets advice from. I'm much more worried about the globalists around Trump then I am Bannon. At least Bannon is a nationalist.
