Trudeau, Sturgeon Respond To Refugee Ban: "Welcome To Those Fleeing Persecution, Terror And War"

In response to Trump's immigration ban, Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tweeted on Saturday afternoon "To those fleeing persecution, terror & war, Canadians will welcome you, regardless of your faith. Diversity is our strength #WelcomeToCanada."

Moments later, his statement was echoed by Scotland's Nicola Sturgeon, who retweeted Trudeau's comment and added "Welcome to Scotland too."

We look forward to how the respective electorates of Canada and Scotland will react to this latest example of Twitter diplomacy, and whether Trump will soon be calling for a wall along the nothern border next.

We welcome them with open arms.

Wonder if they would let them in if they turned up at their front door with suitcases. .

of course Canada will accept as many as the middle east can send because they know that most of them won`t stay in Canada,they illegally come into the U.S. after they get to Canada.

Sturgeon does not have this authority.

She and her party of separatists really need to learn their place.

This plays well into the Russian hands which initiated the Astana peace conference exactly for this purpose. The U.S. under Obama and Kerry had declared it impossible to separate al-Qaeda in Syria from the "moderate rebels" it supported. The Astana conference and in its consequence the now open al-Qaeda conflict with the "moderates" achieved the separation. The "moderates" left now can only join al-Qaeda, make peace with the Syrian government and its allies or flee the country to survive.
