My first thought was where is Zorro when you need him ? Something is fishy about the state governments wanting to maintain their sanctuary city status IMO. I ask myself why ?

This latest bit from California about with holding state funds from the feds IMO should get the (FEDS) attention...

Where is this heading... Will California break away from the union as threatened... Will the first real boots on the ground and overthrow of a state government happen in California... Will California break into ...... where the North says they want no part of the fruits and nuts of the south ?

All this is not going to happen tomorrow but... It is interesting to ponder what might happen in the coming year.. The United States is not the EU and I kinda think a vote will not suffice to break away.... Texas is a different case and joined the union under different circumstances/charter however, even then I would bet the full force of the federal government and troops would be felt before things really got out of hand..

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) – The state of California is studying ways to suspend financial transfers to Washington after the Trump administration threatened to withhold federal money from sanctuary cities, KPIX 5 has learned.

I don't think they really want to go solo. I think they are wanting to #resist.

What kind of army does California have to back up their virtue signaling? If every Beta Male in California took up arms (Keep in mind Cali is anti 2nd) they STILL couldn't defeat those in the military on bases in their own state!

Jerry Brown really should of pursued his career as a Jesuit priest, he would have been much more successful!

Seems to me that tit for tat is a game California will lose at. Why even try? They recieve over 12 billion a year in HUD and SNAP funding. They stop sending the Feds tjeir share and this could be cut.

Hate to break it to them...The US gets taxes from 49 other states... California gets...Well...They get kept afloat by the rest of the US. They don't even have the weed market cornered anymore which was basically their number one cash crop. Not to mention all the bases there...No way those are going to be let go...They will be invaded and seized as well as land and corridors to reach them...

Not to mention all the tech, defense, and aerospace contactors that depend upon federal contacts. Take that away and their mighty economy crumbles

there's some 120K gang members in la.

I'm sure if they emptied out the jails as well they would have a sizeable force to fight with.

There are only 14 states in the country that pay out more in federal taxes than they get back and California is one of them so this could get ugly.

This has always been a silly argument to me. The Feds have been spending more than they take in for 4 decades now. How is this even considered an argument?

Not exactly disciplined or well-trained. That's just silly anyway. Close all Federal offices, move the military bases, cut off welfare. I'm not sure the US would miss California, and it would ALSO take a great many liberal voters out of the US population. California would go bankrupt within months. It ain't gonna happen.

California is full of phony blowhards like all the Hollywood actors declaring they would leave if Trump won but then failed to actually follow through.

It is all posing and virtue signaling.

I live in Cali. Of the normal people I meet, a lot are sensible and roll their eyes at politics and religion, as would be expected.

Those in power have gone a little crazy. I hope they get let down as hard as possible.

California makes its money off housing by having a housing shortage they can charge outrageous prices for housing right now i pay 1,200 a month rent for a one bedroom apartment. Getting rid of their sanctuary status would take away their artificial shortage on housing and prices would drop. The businesses that employ illegals would die out and someplaces would become a ghost town. California is dependent on illegal aliens and once the plug is pulled they are finished thats why

I posted this in another thread, They will never get 38 other states to sign off on it. So that leaves revolution.. Which would get crushed pretty quickly.
