All of the resident members who espouse "Islam is not like this" have been absent.

Strange, but not unexpected.

Speculation can be offset by intimidation and ridicule. Truth, cannot.

Whats ironic about the whole thing is that this particular mosque was recognized for promoting peace and tolerance and harmony in the society. Whats going on over here is absolute hate for anything which is not Muslim.

This is also where the question of surveillance comes in, one could say this is a violation of privacy but the greater evil would be to allow such hate to continue festering in the society until these people who are completely incompatible with your culture grow to become a rather large part of your population.

Which begs the question WHY do they want to live in a country they

neither like or respect

The benefits? the better standard of living?

Or to impose their questionable values

IDK why did the American pilgrims live in a country they didn't respect?

Keep letting them in and you're going to end up with a civil war.

I think that what has to made clear and acted upon by our government is that Islam is definitely not, I repeat definitely not a religion. What it actually is is a way of life that its adherents practice religiously. By that I do not use the term religiously, in any shape or form, as a holy or god related term.
The majority of their adherents rule their lives, not by god given rules but rules from a "prophet" (and I use that term very lightly) that says he had them from god.
A religion, any religion, should be allowed to practice ie. pray and worship in their chosen houses of god but to take that religion into everyday life, out of its religious building, then it's not a religion but a way to control its adherents.
That's my take on it anyway.

Bollocks to that " truth " .

Church & Mosque co-existed over a millennia so the assumption of " what they teach in islam" ought to be made while taking this information into account.

They taught me that Christians are fooled into believing Jesus as God's one and only begotten son .

They also taught me that the innocent & ignorant Christians will still get to go to Heaven too .

Imagine all those mozzzzliiimmms in Heaven , stealing some of your virgins an'all .

I have to be honest.. Islamic religion is NOT the only religion that teaches the percieved falsities of other belief systems. Christians do it... and to each other... Jews do it .. as well about each other.. as well as New Age religions. They are no more guilty of so called hate speech than many other religious organizations .. including atheists . Just sayin' 🤷🏻‍♀️😕

Even though evangelical Christians are just as critical of other religions and they have audiences of millions.

One small sectarian WAHHABI mosque is hardly reflective of Islam.

I just don't get it,

Why not say the WHOLE truth?

When ANY group of PEOPLE get together in a LARGE gathering having the SAME beliefs of ANY religion, you're going to get some pretty one sided opinions and actions.

Religion is the issue couple with the FACT that humans even from the moment we are born are more likely to form groups of likeminded interests.

So when a large group of people gets together, having very religious beliefs, trying to talk logic and reason aren't possible, because it's either what they believe or you're wrong.

So, when taking the above an applying it to ANY of the big religions, you tend to have the problems we like to blame solely on that particular religion, when in fact, it's the people unable to be open minded and humane.

I've seen it, I've experienced it, it's why I'm so anti-social,
humans for the most part, are insane little kids, unable to walk a bit on other people's shoes.

I wonder if it's the concept of doing good for your " master " so you get a good reward, because how else do you explain, humans harming others in the name of a religion? Every religion has done this, so how are these people being talked and preached too that is having them think it's better to appease this religion than it is to be kind to my fellow human?

The Western World would be well advised to take action against any Mosque with connections to the reigning Saud dynasty.

Yes, because western policy in the middle east (since the discovery of oil) has obviously played no part in inciting this hatred towards the west.

Oh, and the small matter of supporting Israeli policy as well. Obviously this won't of played any part either.

It's just bad guys that don't like Democracy damn it!

This has been there since the beginning of the religion. The Muslims were attacking and enslaving Americans before we were hardly even a nation. Look up the Barbary pirates. When Jefferson asked why they were doing this, part of the answer was that it was their duty as good Muslims.

We were barely beginning to have a merchant fleet, so it's not like we'd had any time to antagonize anyone in the ME.

That's the problem though, they increasingly are. At least in the UK. Muslims are increasingly enclaved from the rest of the country with only mosques and schools of these kind around.

When the evangelicals start beheading people and strapping on suicide vests on a regular basis to go blow people up for the cardinal sin of not also being evangelical ... we can start making that comparison.

Until then, the closest you can come is deeds done by those long dead and in the past.

And if the best you can do is come up with being critical of how others live ... well there is plenty of that to go around. Your own post was a perfect example of an atheist (?) being critical of Christians in similar fashion to anything evnagelials do.

Should we equate you to the hate taught in Muslim madrassas?

Spot on... well said..Christians as a rule are taught to pray for unbelievers .. not blow them up... and Christ's teachings were " love your enemy and pray for them".

2000 madrasas like this in the UK?!!!....a country of only 60,000,000 no bigger than the state of Alabama!?

Wow! In a decade or less, the UK will be a real muslim country, and when they take over positions is the government and the courts, you can kiss your country goodbye.

And even in this thread, I will still say that there are Muslims and there are Muslims.

I just wish things didn't look so dire in the world for all of them because they seem incapable of or unwilling to divide themselves.

It is against the muslim way to criticize fellow muslims, even ones that have different doctrinal interpretations. So, they just ignore the radicals and crazies.

Oh, when something horrific happens, some of the moderates might speak out a little bit for a little while, then they go back into their little hidey hole and continue on.
