Hey man thanks for the great post!

Ugh. Manufactured pop is just horrible. So is censoring music.. wth? Banned from entire cities even?

Another thing about the 90's that I miss....

Remember buying a movie soundtrack because they just kicked ass?

If you like type 0, you might get into these guys. They are called Acid Bath. They are from New Orleans.

Here is a song called Bleed me an Ocean. But i would find the albums.

Pagan terrorist tactics

and

when the kite string pops

OK. I LOVED this album (had it on tape actually ha ha).

How about the Natural Born Killers soundtrack? You're right.. a good soundtrack is something sorely to be missed.

Oh so funny.. I love David Lynch and his Twin Peaks soundtrack came to mind when I read your post as one I really liked back in the day. Not for this thread, though, but what a coincidence.

I do remember that soundtrack. (Well I had to look it up but yes I remember.) Where I first heard Rezner's Perfect Drug

Oh yea. They are up there in my favorites. His voice is one of my favorites. I got to see them play in a little place in Nashville called The End. I've seen almost all of those New Orleans bands play there actually.

How about Sleep and high on fire?

Electric wizard

Witchcraft

Graveyard

The golden void

I'll give you one more for the night, Deceased- Fearless undead machines.

story board lp. zombies yeah!

The Bass & Guitar IMO is tight!

I do agree with previous comments. 75 through the outside of the end of the 80's was raw fresh and rarely replicated.

Rotten Records are dicks and since AB is the only thing they can still make money on they pulled down almost everything that isn't live and recorded on a mid 80s tape recorder from YouTube. There are other means to get the albums though...

Anyway. Shrum. Side project of AB's late bassist.

Acid Bath demos (Pre AB, still called Golgotha)

Then there's the Dax side projects. Agents of Oblivion was already mentioned. Daiseyhead and the Mooncrickets were also very good. Deadboy and the Elephantmen is all over YouTube. Then there's his solo work which is no kind of heavy but is still amazing. One of my favorites:

Hey, just thought I'd add this gem from 1970. One of the first best heavy songs (As far as I know, which isn't very
)
