Nah just an overload on such things. It was a bit more fun in many ways when it was just a pixelated digital sprite jumping around on a 16bit screen.
That and its all been done, I personally have a bunch of games I played half through and now realise I probably will never finish them, even though
there is nothing wrong with them, and for others they have played the hell of them.
But I suppose you grow out of it, or it gets boring, or it just sort of gets to expecting and not that thrilling anymore. A bunch of other things I
suppose. I would say its more a phase in your life, especially in MMOs or online FPS, or such games. Been trying to get back into Street Fighter V,
but mostly because I had a blast when I was young playing at friends houses and at arcades.
But now, the game is more of a job then something you can pick up and play. Not saying its bad, and would not have it any other way. But you know, a
bit time consuming. Most times I go online I will win some matches but get handled once I start going up in ranks, and well considering there are
people who spend more then 5 hours every day practicing to pull of things a fraction of a second faster, or counting frames. Ya, I call that a job
more or less.
Most fun I had was trolling people or starting my own thieves guild in MMOs populated by devious 10 yr olds, my little rag tag band of evil
ragamuffins bent on causing chaos and mayhem, that and shooting up buddies on line in FPS's before bed time. After that it sort of went down hill.
Only a few games can keep my interest now a days, and there mostly RPG types that have some action and an engrossing story or game mechanics. The
rest, are either a job, or seen it before.
