Gerrymandering has absolutely nothing to do with presidential elections. Electoral votes are based on population totals. Likewise, it really
doesn't affect statewide races, such as for governor or senate, either, since these involve the entire voting population within a state.
That's not to say that gerrymandering doesn't happen in other races, but the Democratic party is every single bit as guilty when they're in control
as Republicans.
The biggest reason why the Democrats are losing those districts is that they have absolutely nothing in common with the voters there and, rather than
try to understand and adapt the party platform to reach out to those people, they criticize, demean and insult those same voters when they lose. And
somehow, they still can't figure out why the hell they're losing. Its really not hard to figure out.
