The part the OP is missing is that Asians come from 3rd world countries where they do not eat Indian Basmati, they come here, and they eat the rice they grew up on.

Hate soggy, mushy rice that's like rice pudding. Although I do love rice pudding when it's meant to be pudding

I like Greek rice pilsf. Greeks make good rice. Long grain rice cooked in two parts water or broth, with herbs etc

You do know India is in Asia as well?
