After 5 pages of looking I give up. I hope someone corrected the OP; who knows better. He did not say he thinks it is Russia. He said he thinks it is Russian. With an N; as in relating to Russia's state, people, or language. The software was russian, the actors were russian, the server was russian...could be any or all of them. It is very different from saying it was Russia.

He also has not said he thinks Russia influenced the election. In fact he is always clear in generalising and talking about other countries that hack the US too. But facts are lost it seems on those who want to tell a story - perhaps as I said as some form of self help.

Desperate reach. He acknowledged Russia hacking. Just accept it and be a man.

I looked everywhere. Where the hell does he actually say "It think it was Russia"? Why is this so hard to find? Sensational title.

I saw that but couldn't find in the video where i can hear him say that. It's the only quote you didn't time stamp. Is there any video of him saying this? Because I want to make sure he just didn't say "I think it was Russian" like the language & not Russia the country.

Actually I did just that, and gave time stamps. Whether he said Russia or Russian is up for interpretation however. Video is at the bottom of the post, time stamps are underneath the quotes.

The 28:50 mark is the quote you are referring to. It's not entirely clear whether he says Russia or Russian.

My bad, you did do exactly that. I thought it was a timestamp for the quote below it. I think he's saying Russian because I heard somewhere the code in whatever hack the intel community offered was in russian, or the meta data or timestamps in it was in Russian. Fits more in the context, but yea I can't tell for sure.

What, pray tell, is the difference?

To me? Nothing. To others that try to spin the implications, it could reference Russia proper, or the Russian government, or a Russian individual abroad.

People are nitpicky these days.

Part of the art of the deal is being able to bluff. sometimes you have inside information. Instead of ridiculing Trump, perhaps you should be asking who is he attempting to bluff? Could be Putin, could be the media, it could be people like you.

Ah yes, the Holy Art of The Deal.

Let's turn to the Book of Casinos, Chapter 5, Verse 1:
And the Lord Trump put his hand on the gold plated lever
And with the force of Orangeverse released his huge hand
The hand that deals the deals
To the people of IsThisReal

And the money flowed from the coffers
And clankety clanked unto thine bucket
And the gold was good
And half was given back to thine Trump Lord
For the poor shall inherit the con and thine Trump shall inherit the coin
For only this profit shall doth profit and it was good
yeh, it was tremendous

Because saying "Russian" is more in line with the finding that documents in the initial dump from the DNC by Guccifer 2.0 were found to have been edited using a Russian-language version of Word. So he's not wrong.
One is the language. The other implicates a whole country or state actor.

Ah. I see.
And what about this:

But I think we also get hacked by other countries and other people. And I — I can say that you know when — when we lost 22 million names and everything else that was hacked recently, they didn’t make a big deal out of that. That was something that was extraordinary. That was probably China.

It's a very plausible scenario if that's what you're asking & all pretty scary to be honest. We know about dormant malware being in our electrical system for a while (Stuxnet if i recall correctly) from seemingly every country. Insurance files for mutual destruction. Furthermore I wouldn't doubt everybody is spying on everybody else as well. A lot of this goes over my head, & probably way higher over Trump's head. Although it's not nearly enough to suggest to me he's hopped on the "Russian hacker" band-wagon or anything.
