So watching this scum bag Chris Steigerwald on Fox news spinning this.

So he criticizes buzzfeed but doesn't mention cnn. He then says the intel agencies never claimed this info was true, just that they were informing Trump and Obama it was out there.

I say bullcrap. First, trumps lawyer never having been to prague would have taken five minutes to verify, so why would they inform the president and president elect that this may be true. The the intelligence leaked this info supposedly, which at the very least shows that some in the intelgence agencies are out to get Trump. Remember when Schumer said these agencies would get back at Trump for criticizing them?

dailycaller.com...

And then he really jumps the shark.

Steigerwald warns Trump supporters that this is what the wished for when the supported Assange and him releasing information that they didn't care if it was verified.

What absolute garbage!!!!!

The entire reason that people listened to Wikileaks is that they have an impeccable record of fact checking their information and making sure its true. So Steigerwald likens reporting totally unverified documents that anyone can make up to the hundreds of thousands of wikileaks releases, which even the intelligence agencies have admitted are all 100% real documents.

As this story crumbles, watch for the media to squirm and act like it wasn't a big deal that our intelligence agencies fell for this obvious false document, and how we shoulc continue to trust them when they tell us about Russia but are unable to provide proof.

See?

You aren't interested in having an intelligent discussion about the merits of the information provided. You just draw your line in the sand and that's that.

And it wasn't a jab, it's a belief based in actual evidence that Trump has Russian ties he refuses to talk about. There's evidence to support that.

even so, russia will make america great again.
much more so than feinstien, bamma, hillary, et al

Just because im curious....what evidence?

In a world where the CIA and CNN both report preposterous information and it gets believed by everyone....im incredulous as a default setting.

If it is fake, then somebody within the agency(ies) did it out of principle to their cause.

To me though, wikileaks coming out in defence of Russia and Trump is very telling.

~Tenth

Yea, no chance at all they are concerned with the TRUTH, must be some backroom dealing. Oh yea, Trump is bad, Mkay.

Oh please, if you replace the word Trump with Hillary, you'd be foaming at the mouth to claim all of this was absolutely true.

You have to admit ND, that this is far too coincidental to be a complete fabrication. Trump just lied in the series of tweets he just posted, he claims to have no deals, nothing in Russia, which isn't true.

Doesn't matter, I don't believe the whole 'golden' showers thing or anything within that report - so I'm on your side in this case, but I don't think he's completely 100% innocent of wrongdoing where Russia is concerned.

~Tenth

But if you don't believe this report, how are you not deeply disturbed that the intelligence agencies took it seriously?

How can you trust anything they say?

If you can not trust what they say, how will they be able to prosecute anyone?

Right is to Obama is to Muslims as Left is to Trump is to Russia.

No, the US intelligence field is impeccable--no mistakes are made.

But IF there is ever one made, the Fed. Gov't can now fund the propaganda to make it reality.

Win/win for everyone!

I didn't think it was the Intelligence Agencies' jobs to actually prosecute. I thought they only produced the evidence and then recommended whether or not to prosecute based on that assessment.

Me too.

Why is any respectable news outlet reporting unsubstantiated claims, especially since other reputable news outlets haven't been able to verify it for six months?

Is reporting what's posted on click bait sites considered journalism now?

=====

As to the OP, I thought the timeline on this indicated it could not have come from 4chan? Also, has anyone chased down an Evan McMullin angle on this? He was the NeverTrump wing's candidate of choice and he is former C.I.A.

if the "evidence" is in dispute it is that much easier to dismiss......you know like with a cloth or something

Like the radio talk guy said, "It's very slick how it was done. CNN put out the rumors that everyone had known about for over a year, but hadn't been used because they could not be verified. BuzzFeed then ran with that and published all 35 pages of the memos which were first Republican and then Democrat opposition research originally. Then CNN has to go in and report on all of it now because it just became news thanks to BuzzFeed."

If I was Trump I'd be leaking these stories, Ala Tyrian Lannister, and find out where the mole is.

Ha, I KNEW it was sh!t the moment I read it. Only a kid would write such a vindictive piece.

all of this was dropped by CNN right when obama was crying during his goodbye speech.

CNN just ran with this story to smear and cover their ass by saying unconfirmed sources over and over again, and all this new dropped right when obama was giving his speech

the media really thinks they can play us for fools

In 2008/2009 Trump's son discussed all sorts of business dealing's they had within Russia.

time.com...

High ranking members of staff have deep rooted ties to Russia.

This isn't black and white. This is a war of disinformation and Trump is as guilty as spreading it as anybody else.

LMAO this is #ing hilarious. It's like a #ing reverse psy-op on the government, from the people to the power. I love it, how embarrassing!

The catch is though, whether true or not - it damages Trump. It damages the U.S. on the world stage. If it's true, it's a big deal, if it's not true it's a big deal. No one wins here.

The ***only*** way that Trump/U.S. come out of this on top is if Trump sweeps into office and utterly dismantles the intel agencies and shadow government with irrefutable proof shown to the American citizens and people around the world.

As it stands, our system comes off now as a petulant, out of control gang of social-media addled teens.

You know what, McCain is in some serious doodoo now. I wouldn't be surprised if he resigns. ha! Why am I kidding myself? This is grade level stuff compared to what these scumbag politicians do on a daily basis. Still, McCain might catch some SERIOUS flak for being involved in this.

Thoughts?
