I've had someone corner me in a room and hold a butcher knife to my throat before. When it happens you freeze and you become totally submissive. For all he knew one false move and they could stab him.

The ignorance of young people today. They commit a crime and post the video on Facebook. How stupid can you be???? This isn't the first time young people have posted a criminal act on Facebook or YouTube.

The use of the "F" word multiple times in a sentence goes to show you their vocabulary is very limited. I couldn't understand half the crap they were saying! It's unfortunate, but this is the reflection of youth in our society today. They don't think of the consequences of their actions. They have no sense of morality and they have no fear because it's a generation that has grown up without tough discipline.

Most kids their age are in high school or just graduating and living a normal life, this does not reflect the youth in our society nor does it say that the youth in general don't have morals. What an ignorant statement to make, using one incident to brush an entire generation as being akin to kidnappers and torturers. SMH

I agree it may not reflect the youth in this country but we have a seriously problem with violence among all ages. I live two blocks north of Detroit and it's crazy around here. I smoke outside and I hear gun shots every single night. My cousin lives with me and has to walk home from work every night at 3 am. Some guy in Detroit a couple weeks ago walked up and shot someone in the head just to take his sunglasses. The stuff I see in the local news is unreal. Not to mention the entire area is being flooded with heroin. My other cousin lives in a upper class neighborhood and his school has been named heroin high. There is a serious degradation of morals in this area things just keep getting worse and worse.

That's why we need to study Japan's security grid. They have zero tolerance policy for a reason.

America, however, is known for drug problems and there is some legitimate evidence showing that the government may be selling drugs.

Also research the circadian rhythm. Stay away from drugs and alcohol. Don't even smoke cigarettes. The second you bring in drugs into an area you can expect crime to go up.

And there was a Forbes magazine prediction showing that Facebook will basically be extinct by the end of this year.

Too many safety concerns, privacy concerns, too many scandals (like this.)

Facebook's reputation is not good so I don't expect it being popular for long.

Soooo... let's change things up a bit and imagine the outcome for a moment. Let's go to sim land. Heeere Wee...GO!

Chicago Police: 4 in custody after man tied up, tortured on Facebook Live

Investigators are looking into a Facebook Live video showing a group of people holding a young man hostage.

...

A young white woman streamed the video live on Facebook showing at least four people holding a young African American male with special needs hostage on an "Extreme Risk" list from the Chicago Police in the inner city. The victim is repeatedly kicked and hit, his scalp is cut, all while he is tied up with his mouth taped shut. The suspects on the video can be heard yelling, "F*** Black Lives Matter! F*** black people!"

...the young man is now at a hospital being treated for his injuries.

No charges have yet been filed.

OKAY SNAP OUT OF IT!

What say you? Now does that make the topic of hate crime come up or random cruel aggression. Things that make you go hmmmmm!?
edit on 5-1-2017 by PsychNurse because: The sad thing is how comfortable they were in the process to air it... leads my warped mind to wonder how many times this similar situation, maybe not to the extent of the isolation indoors because they were excited about having him cornered and helpless. But I'd bet that this has happened in an out door setting randomly before.

Saw this reported last night, watched the video earlier today. Utterly sick. That some hesitated to call this a hate crime is appalling. The whole thing is vile. Shame they can't get the death penalty for this. At the least, they need to never see freedom again. Ever.

A hate crime is not good enough for them.
Wait till they get to jail.
See how brave they are then!!!

Wouldn't you rather them suffer by being trapped in jail? Death is the easy way out.

NO.

Hung, drawn and quartered. Publicly.

It was good enough for a brave patriot. Thugs and miscreants should be honored to be given the chance to die with such valor!!

okay, let's put this in perspective...

remember the two kids that were beaten in the church in NY awhile back... one ended up dying the other was hospitalized..

www.syracuse.com...

the longest sentence was 25 years.. and someone actually died in that one...

I don't think these kids are gonna get any life sentences out of this..
I will be very disappointed if they don't see some jail time for it though.

All I read was that they slapped him, cut his hair and clothes and threw ashes in his face, unless I'm missing something (which I may be) them it sounds like nothing was done to him that was life threatening.

What would you suggest happen to the people? Death penalty? Ridiculous (unless I'm missing something).

ETA: And cut his forehead.

They talked about putting gasoline on him, about dragging him behind a vehicle, and about putting him out of his misery. Those are death threats.

As for th death penalty, yes! They are dangerous animals, and dangerous animals should be put down. I say the same for any that act like this, regardless of color.

How did he escape? Is he able to talk at all? If not that sounds awful convenient for the narrative being pushed by the media so far.

"RACISM RACISM RACISM! Everybody freak out!"

And we do it. Every. Single. Time.

Did you watch the video?? Watch it. Watch the whole thing. They made RACIST comments, and were acting in a RACIST manner. That means, this was a racist crime. A hate crime. NO ONE is "blowing it out of proportion"; people are commenting on what ACTUALLY happened, on VIDEO, as opposed to, say, making crap up and rioting.

This was racism, on the part of those four people (and I use that term very loosely in this case), and there is no changing that. Stop acting like we should just move along, and pretend it doesn't matter.

This is not the first such crime, or the fifth, or even the tenth. This sort of crap has been happening for YEARS now, and the media and police, and the "Justice" Dept., have basically ignored it. They can't now, because a REAL Justice Department is coming, and they don't want to get a smackdown for failing to respond properly. Had the election gone differently, you can bet that they wouldn't be charged with a hate crime, if charged at all. Enough with the excuses!!! You want reality, go on YT, and look up black on white crime, or read the dozens upon dozens of reports from Colin Faherty. This case is just he latest in a long series of such cases.
