Jacy woke up with a start, sniffing the air. She flapped her hands around the bed searching for Sophie who was not in her usual spot.
"Brrr...it's so cold in here...and what is that smell?"
Flicking on a light switch and grabbing her robe, she planned to follow her nose and investigate.
"This would be much easier with that big beautiful ferrety nose..." she murmured, wondering what shenanigans Sophie was up to this time when suddenly the freaked out ferret came sliding sideways into the room.

"Portal pot! Portal pot!" she repeated while flailing around on the slippery hardwood. Jacy grinned at her furry friend, unaware of the dangerous situation about to unfold. Scooping Sophie up she planted a kiss on her nose and calmly asked, "What's a portal pot?"
"What's a portal pot? WHAT is a portal pot? Hmm, well...let me think...oh yeah, it's only a TIME TRAVEL device...that smells like incense...well actually it IS incense...in a pot...hence, portal pot..."

Jacy cocked her head to one side, trying to digest this piece of information. Shrugging she said, "So why is this such a big deal? I mean, everything here is magic...even though I've lost mine for now...but...isn't time travel just more magic?"
Sophie scrunched her face up with a look of disgust. "Magic? MAGIC??? No Jacy, time travel is not magic...it is SCIENCE...and it is dangerous!! All the portal pots were supposed to have been buried long ago, which makes me wonder if it is someone from the past. If it's someone or someTHING from the future, well then we could have a problem."

Jacy walked back over to the bed and sat down, placing Sophie gently beside her. "Tell me what you know..." she whispered.

"Well for starters, right now it's not safe for you to leave this room. If someone has come from the future, it means they've found the pots. In your own room, you will stay in the present. Depending on what era of The Shed the traveller has come to, your present could change very drastically if you leave...do you understand?"
The frightened girl just shook her head "no".
Sophie continued.
"If the traveller came when you weren't here yet, then you will disappear immediately. If they came when you were here before, then a part of you now will also go back and re-live that time, only it will be different and affect the "you" that is here right now. Does THAT make sense?"
"Nooo..." Jacy whimpered. "You're actually scaring me."

Suddenly Sophie jumped off the bed and ran to sniff at the closed bedroom door. Turning around slowly she said, "I think you better be scared Jacy. I think I smell troll."

Bless you...and thank you!
Ditto to all the rest of you...I appreciate the love!! I've seen the donut breadcrumb trail...

Hey I spaced getting back to You on this, "If you can't take trip east I'll make my way west one day." Sorry that My Friend.
Perhaps We can meet in the middle somewhere? Us, and others Who may want to get in on this....
One way or another We will make that happen! This Spring or Summer would be great!

I saw that Gordy had extended His hand in another Scotland get together. That would be awesome to do as well! BUT If I left this country to go there, I may not want to come back!! LOL! Know what I mean?!

Either way, money talks. So there is that to contend with. I have a 'friend' Who owes us like 1400.00 bucks. I was hoping for tax time this year for Him to clear that up, but it will prob be like last year and He will blow us off again. I hate people who take Our kindness as a weakness, and use it against Us, Ya know? So hate that.

My fault for not learning from past similar experiences, with the same thing. I always hold onto hope that "this time will be different." Never is though. Never fails.... Alas....

(Continued from Page 46)

Then....

Syx and the rest of the Dragons roamed the area, flaming enemies when They were seen. Some of the Dragons went airborn, then dive bombed evil ones and clamped them into Their Sharp Taloned Claws. Then took them very high into the air, and dropped them into the fighting turmoils still going on.

Most of the time, the dropped ones died on impact. Some, still barely alive upon hitting the ground, were immediately dispatched, by a Warriors skillfully wielded Weapon! It would not be long now, and the fighting would be over....

Now....

The cries of those enmeshed in battle filled the air. Even though the fighting forces on both sides were diminished in numbers, the fighting was still seen and heard for miles all around The Shed. The Good Warriors grunted and strained while swinging Their Swords, Maces, and Warhammers. Connecting with the heads, bodies and arms of the evil forces, the good Warriors fought on.

Also relentless were the evil ones. They simply would not just concede to losing this war. They fought on valiently, in Their efforts to tip the scales in Their favor. (That would not happen.) They were as dedicated to trying to win this war, as were the gallant warriors of the Shedlands. Both sides fought on and on....

A group of Sarn Warriors held fast to their territory of battle. They fought hard against the evil entities, Who were thinning rapidly. With 4 hands on 4 muscular arms each, The 15 foot tall Sarn were very formidable forces to be reckoned with!

Soon the evil forces left in this battle could be counted on two hands. Finally seeing how far outnumbered They were, the surviving evil entities turned and fled the area!

All that was left of the evil ones, was the very tall one. Their apparent leader.

He looked upset seeing His followers leaving the war fields. He stood, alone knowing His upcoming defeat, looking around the area at the approaching Warriors of Light. They came at Him from all sides, slowly, deliberately, sizing Him up, for the final clash to come....

So glad to see you here.
And a story entry to boot.

Now I'm confused. I thought I was contributing to your story in the past.
And I was imagining the few lines I gave you to be like a CGI version of Jacy.
But then you come in and add to the story.
So It's sort of like when you get a DVD and they include extra scenes that were cut from the original release of the movie.
But in this case the original actress came back and shot new scenes to be inserted into the story of the past.
LOL
Time travel is confusing.
Glad to see you here again.
Maybe as Valentines Day approaches and it will be the third anniversary of the original Valentines Day thread, we can have a Shed party or event like you all did in the original Shed thread.

Thanx Man! I am at a crossroads in that Tale though.
The tall evil one was one of the Characters introduced into the Story from John Swanne.
I don't feel right putting the thumb screws to His entity!?
SO kinda stuck right now on that one....

HE is out of commission it seems.
Last visit to ATS was on the 13th!?
I DO hope He is ok!!!

Sending Good Healing Vibes to John....

OK I think I have a solution for ending this war. I hope this will suffice. It does leave an opening for it to continue, if John would wish that, in order to enter His last entry using His tall evil one character.
So following is My final submission, in the War of Good versus Evil in the fair land of Shed....

The tall evil one, the only survivor of the War of good versus evil, stood silently, moving His gaze all around Himself, in the middle of scores of dead evil combatants. There were several Good Hearted Warriors lying here and there as well. Some still barely alive being tended to from Wizards working Their Magical healing spells, in hopes of fully reviving the fallen Warriors. In some cases it worked just as planned. In others, the spells did no good....

The tall evil one spoke, quietly but in a committed voice, "You may have won this round of battle Warriors of light. Be it known that I will return. Someday. Soon or far off is for ME to know, and You all to worry about!" As He finished His speech, He weaved His hands before Him with outstretched arms, appearing as one Who tied knots with nothing but the calm air.

Smoke began to rise from under His feet, upwards encircling Himself. It turned colors of purple, deep blood red, and grays and as it got thicker to finally fully conceal the tall evil one, and with a loud clamorous bang, He disappeared into thin air....

The dead calm was deafening! The smells of death and decay began to fade away, even though there were hundreds of dead laying all around.

Surviving Wizards gathered in a large circle all around the area. They began casting spells of Magic, and healing, and after only a few moments of this, the entire area was swept clean of bodies, and the air once again was filled with sweet bird songs! The odors of war were replaced with fragrances of lavender, and other beautiful smells of flowers and sweet spices.

The War of Good versus Evil was over. However what hung in the air was what the Tall Evil one spoke, just before He was gone from sight. This could all be for naught. The threat of Evil returning to the Great Shedlands hung in the air, and could be there for a very long time to come.

However if any Evils were to ever return to The Great Lands of The Shed, The good hearted Warriors would again gather, to fight side by side for the righteousness of Good to prevail once again!!!

I must do a happy dance. Here I come in totally unprepared for this. If I had known I would have changed into a ball gown and baked you a cake.

As it is I stink like a fryer and still in work clothes.

Wow, I was quite pleased to return to find an actual story entry by our long lost Jacy and two from Syx today! I already commented on Tom's which was wonderful as always too. Loved them all! I was beginning to miss our stories in here. Nice that we are writing again. I too hope that John is ok.

Syx, I didn't eat any dragons today. I swear!

Yes jacy, we always leave donut crumbs or cans of beer or something for people to find the latest Shed. How did I know you'd follow the donut crumbs? LOL! Welcome 'home'!

CC, I must say, you have inspired me to start going through more of my things and start organizing. Maybe I'll find my damned jewelry making tools and the crystals I can't seem to find lately. I think the pixies have been here, damned little buggers!

Since I forgot to mention Hugo, the black wildcat, I think I'll try and make another story entry tonight.

Kat, LOVE that pic you left for Jacy! Every time I hear Jacy's stories with Sophie I remember my beautiful ferret girl who passed away. She was amazing. Ferrets are so comical and so damned adorable!

I'm so bummed out right now...

I had all of these things I wanted to write but...

I dunno if I ever even wanna write again.
Though it's the only thing I wanted to do.

I should have listened to myself when I said that.
My day would have ended a lot better if only I took my own advice and gave up on everything.

Now I'm just becoming a jerk.
I don't think I'm savable at this point.

Of course you are savable. Life can suck sometimes, but we must be warriors and fight our way through. At the very least, we can hold onto hope and each other here in the shed or wherever.
