I presume that you all are aware. California has a massive storm baring down on it. It is a 20 year storm. How it is described is an atmospheric river. It may dump 15 feet of snow in parts of cali, but maybe only a foot of rain where I live. That's enough. I have rivers nearby on both sided of me. My home is two stories and the lower level is about 3 feel off the ground. Hopefully I will be ok even if the levees break.

Oh wow snow in California. Such a lot of snow for a rare occurance. Remember to put any electronic items in thick bags and place them high up if possible.

The rain is beginning to start now. It supposed to hammer us for at least 36 hours nonstop

My house is 3 feet off the ground. I put special duct tape non the small door in the garage, along the door and 3 inches 3 inches up. The rain is coming down right now real hard.

What a wonderful Birthday party for your Dad! Happy Birthday Dad!

For years, it was so hard having family gatherings without my Dad and seeing Mom without him. Though I think of both my Parents with great love, Mom's passing was more recent and still seems new to me. I know you miss her. I miss mine too. We will always have our precious memories to hold on to.

I have a pic of my Mom sitting in a wicker chair as a child with little button up boots. So awesome! Dad has some cool ones of himself in his Navy uniform. There are tons of amazing photos of them as they grew up, got married, had children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. And never in my life have I seen a love as deep and true as theirs.

Oh does it really? So it's not as rare as I thought. I love snow, tossing buckets of water off my terrace is fun.
