I've already made and lost millions and Trump didn't help at all; I'm not some kid with no experience; That's the advantage of being an entrepreneur; self determination and taking responsibility for the outcome.

I have a "regular" job (if you can call it that) where I put in about 60 hrs a week, but additionally I am a 1/3 partner along with 2 others in the ownership of a pretty large gym/fitness center. I believe we have 42 employees at last count (we're open 5am - midnight) along with about a dozen subcontractors (personal trainers). I've owned the gym for 8 years now.

I take my employees well being (financially and otherwise) very seriously as some have families of their own. And my partners and I always factor them in when making decisions that will impact all of us. That's all we can do.

I have a rental/ retail shop, a small manufacturing offshoot, a flyfishing guide/outfitting service linked to the previous two LLCs, serving the Rocky Mountian SW and....
a production company making films for advertisers, shorts for festivals and indy feature films. I'm also a SAG/AFTRA actor with over 100 films to my credit and work above and below the line in other studio productions with IATSE, such as ESPN, Sony, Netflix, etc. UNION PROUD!

I too have the best interest of my professional family, employees both full time and part time as a business priority.

It's not all about profit. I also play semipro holdem where it's all about profit!!!

but please don't let our common interests keep you from further insults. I thought you were going to skip all my additional posts as to emotional.

It's generalizations like yours, and you're hardly alone in that, that prevent, or help prevent, folks from working together.

Oh, they're mean and nasty--all of 'em--we can't work with them. So they don't even try to find people like myself who are working quietly, yet no less passionately, to fix things, who might need a little help. Thus is the status quo maintained--to our continuing detriment.

Some democrats are nasty, oh yes...trust me, I'm well aware of that, working as I do in party politics locally, and occasionally at the state level... But many, like myself, are not. I am, as hard as it may be to believe, a conservative Democrat--yes, we do exist, though some would deny that--kinda like they deny Bigfoot.

Generalizations seldom are totally right. Just like all Republicans are for the rich. Some are, most are not. Regardless of denial from the opposition.

Would it help if I pointed out that you two are quibbling over the various connotations of the word "my"?
It may connote possession and ownership, as in "my watch", "my house".
It may connote association in some kind of relationship, as in "my employer", "my wife", "my street", none of which are talking about true ownership. Even "my house", if the place is only rented.
It may connote an emotional attachment of some kind, as when it is short for "my favourite". "My hero!"

"My country" is usually a combination of the last two, association and emotional attachment. The recent protestor who was filmed screaming "This is my country!" was apparently confusing things by importing a sense of "ownership" into the mix.

When you say "Trump is not my President", you are obviously talking about the third sense in my list- emotional "ownership".
The other party is pointing out that Trump will be "your President" in the second sense, the "relationship" sense, just as he will be the President in that sense of every citizen. He will be your President in that sense, necessarily, whether you like it or not, and whether you say it or not. By the same token, and in the same sense, you will be one of "his" people.

Does that clarification help at all?

The US is by now a full democracy. The election is decided on November 8, not on December 19, not on January 6, and sure as hell not on January 20.
