When was the last time any of that did not happen during a Presidential administration? It's kind of like predicting that we will change the calendar next year.

Some people can clearly see the difference.

Should have named this, "Chicken Little says the sky is falling"

Older people will tell you all that stuff is already been occurring. Is this the 'lets pretend its not that bad yet' thread?

I am Older People.

We've never seen anything like Trump trying to run this country.

Thats subjective, and forgive me, kind of ignorant. As "old peoples" you should know it doesn't matter who the "presider" is in the oval office. As "old peoples" you should be aware how they used all the same droll to get us in and keep us in the Vietnam war. How al the factories for war, warmongers and bankers are the very same ones behind this current cycle of endless war and debt?

If Trump really tries to change things they'll kill him as quick as they did kennedy(s). He'll have to go along or be impeached, ruined, or killed outright. This is the real game of thrones.

Besides I don't see the mission changing much. Its the same players. Kerry, Nuland, Powers, Kirby, Rice... bleh

When you're proven wrong, will you be willing to admit it and vote for Trump in 2020?

3. The country will be less "free" than it is now.
a. There will be a wave of anti-freedom legislation across the country at both the federal and state levels. Examples: Restrictions on women's access to safe and legal abortion, restrictions on voting.

One bill in one state does not a wave make, but Ohio has taken the first step towards creating one.

generally prohibit an abortion of an unborn human individual with a detectable heartbeat

Restrictions on women's choice - Ohio

IF I am proven wrong, yes, there will be no hesitation in acknowledging that. Note that it is my fervent hope that I am wrong.

Whether I vote for Trump in 2020 is not your business, or anybody's but mine.

I'm not going to state any harm coming to Trump.

You might not see a difference, but I do see a difference between letting people live their lives in Equality and trying to provide healthcare - - - compared to strict controls by Fundamentalist Right Wingers.

I stand by - - In My Lifetime - - there's never been a Wild Card president (elect) such as Trump.

Even his own party is on "pins and needles" - - waiting to see what will he do next.

Its gonna be a "ride".

I honestly don't know what impeaching Trump would accomplish. Whoever in the world would you want to see in the White Hut? More importantly, who's out there that's actually qualified for the job? In case you haven't noticed, there's a significant "quality" deficit in the US political scene. I suppose if you're female, you'd propose Hilary? We need more crookery? Biden? Really? Joltin' Joe Biden..........an idiot! Mayor Di Blasio? He can't even run a city, much less a nation.

Don't get me wrong, the Republicans don't have much in the way of talent to offer either.

Honestly? US politics is a failure at the national level.

I predict that no matter what happens you will convince yourself that all of your predictions have come true.
pessimistic people expect things to be crappy so they look for the crappiness in everything to justify their pessimistic view.

what I`m trying to say is no matter how great things may become under a trump presidency you will only look for and only see the crappy things and you will use those crappy things to convince yourself that everything you said is true.

The economy could be booming and the middle class could be rebounding at a historic rate, plenty of good jobs, money flowing, etc etc and you will complain that with so many people working at good jobs again that the government is taking in record income taxes, therefore trump is a failure because the government is collecting more taxes than it did when Obama was president.

Not all, but many of these are objectively measurable items, by intent. There will either be a wall under efficient construction on the southern border, or there won't be. Torture will be a policy of the US government or it won't be. Middle-class wages will still be stagnant or they won't be.

For these objectively measurable items, how you or I or anybody else feels about it is irrelevant. The numbers and facts on the ground will determine whether or not those predictions are correct.

And of course there will be plenty of things to argue about in the details... if wages are rising steadily at 0.25% per year while the cost of living is rising at 3%, there are those that will argue that wages are not stagnant. With which I will respectfully disagree.

This thread is about these predictions, so I will not be addressing other issues here that do not relate to these predictions. So whatever shenanigans go on during the Trump administration, if they are not related to these predictions I won't be discussing them here.

I agree with your assessment of pessimism... one of my favorite jokes is the one about how an optimist thinks this is the best of all possible worlds, and a pessimist is afraid they're right.

But there is a difference between optimism or pessimism and a realistic appraisal of the situation. And that is that we as a culture are in big trouble.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Until we have actual measurable results, all we have is hot air.

Why are some people so afraid of change?

They only foresee all negative possibilities in any given scenario.

Why not try and look for positives in the situation or are some people so brainwashed they can only see the end of their world as they have been told that is what will happen.

With Brexit in the United Kingdom we were told that if the vote was for leave 500.000 jobs would be lost immediately,

From the gevernment website

World War 3 would be imminent

WW3

and we would also drop into a recession (also see government link above)

We voted to leave and NONE of these happened.

Any change could be good or bad only time will tell how. Having no change would lead to the same problems you have had for years.

The definition of insanity is doing something over and over again and expecting a different result. (AE)

Maybe its time both our countries took a step back, looked at the situation we are in, united the rifts in our own countries and maybe, just maybe we can take the chances we are given and forge a better future for our children.

The deep government pulled the plug on Hillary. I don't know why, we can only speculate. I do not doubt that Satanism and pedophilia may be prevalent at the upper regions of the pyramid. This system is not sustainable and you all know it. The scum of humanity is leading us. What is wrong with us to allow this? Yank them from the top and stick them on the botton... and don't let them be in charge of anything!

Trump will not be able to Un-Do a lot of the crap the WH has done in the last 8 years

Trump will not run for a 2nd term, only because he has determined 4 years of his life is enough to start the process of changes-for-the-better

multi-culturalism is not for the streets it's home is in the halls of Academia and think-tanks.... little Italy or China-towns in every metro area is great... metro personal vehicles should all be electric low speed & available to every Debit Card holder to swipe & drive then drop-off and repeat the actions going the other way home.

interest rates back to 3% and benefit to main-street not Wall Street as the ZIRP is now...skrew the fat-cat elites for the next 16 years to even up the fed policies that blessed the stock traders & skrewed the retirees

there are about 20 some other planks that I would suggest Trump approve of...

along with the 93 Million who have been filtered out of the workforce economy by
PC - Progressivism... Risky persons need to be tagged for intervention... that includes All Muslims who were never vetted
in the last 8 years

Well, I love Bernie, but if he didn't get it, I'd just be happy to settle for a true moderate from either party. The people Trump is putting in his cabinet are the alt-right's wet dream.
