Trump has chosen Ben Carson for Housing Secretary.

Great Choice!

Updated 1 min ago NEW YORK -- President-elect Donald Trump has chosen former Campaign 2016 rival Ben Carson to become secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Trump's decision, announced early Monday by his transition office, comes as the real estate mogul continues a series of interviews, meetings with aides and other deliberations aimed at forming his administration. In a statement, Trump says he's "thrilled to nominate" Carson, saying he "has a brilliant mind and is passionate about strengthening communities and families within those communities."

Carson has been coy about joining the new administration, saying shortly after Trump's election victory that he wasn't certain he'd fit into a Cabinet-style role. The discussion at that time centered on speculation that Carson might be selected to head the sprawling Department of Health and Human Services.

Trump's statement Monday says, "Ben shares my optimism about the future of our country and is part of ensuring that this is a presidency representing all Americans''.

How is this a great choice? He has no experience and only got the position because he said nice things abou Trump. It's called cronyism.

Do you also think Trump hiring a former Soros/Goldman Sachs man a great choice as well?

Intuition dear Watson, intuition.

As for the second question, I could speculate all day about why he made that choice, we'll have to wait and see.

Not everyone in power is evil vile and disgusting. They may be the very people who've helped lead us away from that s-it.

What experience does he need?

How well did the others work out?

Because he's Black and Republican they attack with the absurd high school humor. But if he was Black and Democrat and denouncing something absurd he would be their champion!

Gotta love the Faux Team, always flip flopping like a fish trying to flop back into the water!

Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Donald Trump, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Quincy Adams, Martin Van Buren, Millard Fillmore, Grover Cleveland, William Howard Taft, Woodrow Wilson, Warren G. Harding, Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover and Franklin D. Roosevelt ALL had NO military experience. By your logic this means that all of them were horrible choices for commander in chief.

He will be in charge of HUD. He will run the department and steer its direction with the professionals that actually know the ins and outs advising him. Just like presidents use the joint chiefs to advise them on military matters.

Windwishywashy won't dare touch Obama's failure in Chicago, none of these progressives will answer you because they already lost that battle in discussions long ago, their only recourse is to bash bash bash everything positive now and try as unintelligent as possible to deride and ridicule someone like MR Carson.

It's how progressives play ball these days, they make up the rules as they go and then change the rules for everyone else at the last minute!

I'm not black but I don't see it from the angle you're posing.

I thought he was just a nice, polite guy. Decent, and honest. Not perfect but no one is right?

Give the guy a break, he makes the current Potus look like someone who was coached ... oh wait Obama WAS coached to be an asshole dickhead.

Ok carry on.

Carson is a breath of fresh air in comparison.

God forbid he helps the lower class black population, something Obama promised and completely ignored for 8 years.

Think about that for awhile Windy.

Mr Carson is the exact opposite of what these progressive liberals want in a Black politician. That was my angle, Mr Carson doesn't pull punches because someones little feeling got stepped on, Like I said he's Black and Republican therefore in progressives minds he's the enemy. That's how they've shown us they think and look at the attacks on Carson in this thread when they have nothing on the man that detracts from his appointment in the future if he accepts.

Do progressives realize how they set themselves up to be trolled?
