Why do they think that we care about their opinion?

For the same reason you think others care about your opinion.

Is it really that difficult to figure out??? I mean you're here right now giving us your opinion because you think others care what you think. So why wouldn't they think the very same thing as you do???

Giving your opinion for discussion on a forum is not even close to what these celebrities do.
They preach from their stages and try to use their "fame" as a rationalization for some kind of expertise, as they attempt to sway their fans to their points of view.

I agree with you, but most of the country is like you and me. We reflect the middle class. We are the ones taking the hit while the elite lifestyle stays the same. So forgive me for not caring to hear about the elite bitch because they didn't get their way.

No, it is the same. Exactly the same. It's just that your platform isn't as big as his. If it was you'd use it just the same.

You can't blame Seth for the fact that people actually do want to hear from him because he's a celebrity. That's the same reason Trump wanted to be a celebrity. To have a bigger platform and influence people.

You're just jealous and don't like his message so you complain about it. If it was pro-Trump you'd be here praising him for it.

It will not last 8 years like Obama blaming Bush and Fox News.

jealous?
ummm ok...
You seem to have missed that I don't care about his opinion - at all.
(ETA: I did not even listen to his "message", because I don't care what he has to say.)

Trump became a celebrity because it was a new challenge.
He was running his corporations at the same time that he was doing that, btw.
He was not trying to influence anyone. I think he was having fun.

Seth isn't the Elite. He's rich and famous from his cartoons and comedy, but that doesn't mean he's the Hollywood Elite. He wasn't born into that lifestyle. He made it happen for himself. He earned it.

Unlike true Elites which are born into wealth and power.

As is common with progressivism, you assume much of your political opposition...

For instance, the only reason I post an ATS is because of the anonymity…
I quite like the vigorous debate and seek to hear opinions different than mine…

It is only when you're willing to defend your views that you can truly understand your personal ethos…

Celebrities who use Twitter offer their opinions in a progressive vacuum…
Or Huffingtonpost like MacFarlane, which is tantamount to a vacuum when it comes to conservative ideas…

You care enough to come here and complain about it don't you???

It wasn't just a new challenge. What are you talking about???

Trump has always pushed his celebrity status. Why do you think he bought Miss. Universe??? (Besides being able to walk in on them naked of course.) Trump has always sought after Media Attention to boost the Trump Name and Himself. Donald J. Trump.

The fact that his celebrity, his reality show, isn't the whole of the story. It's lying by omission.

It's not lying by omission. It's the truth. No one is leaving anything out. Everyone is well aware of the fact Trump is in real estate.

I suppose to you anyone not being stuck in the 50's must be progressive.

You're anonymity comes from the fact that nobody cares what you have to say unlike Seth. That's why you're anonymous. That's why we are all anonymous. Come on man. No journalists are coming to our doors asking us what we think. We don't have to seek it out because we are anonymous naturally. Seth would have to seek it out, not us.

Trump has Twitter too as you may have heard. But you seem to have no problem with his Vacuum.

In no particular order ....

6000 x .02

2 Thessalonians 2:10-13
and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing.
They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will
believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not
believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. ...

Tom Pollock for president ...

They recognize it in Trump, but they failed to recognize it in every other politician!? Either they are blind, have a crusade against the Trump organization, don't like him because they didn't vote for him, or some other reason they are deciding not to share while hiding behind the "we recognize him for what he is because we deal with people like this".

Everyone deals with shady people. Pretending to be "in the know" because he works in Hollywood too, doesn't give them anymore sway (to me at least) than anyone else saying the same thing.

There's the entire story right there.

Seth needs to quit making Family Guy and just watch South Park from now on. Sheesh!

No she doesn't come off as slimy. Her supporters appear to be hopeful optimists and realists who believe in the message and feel inspired-- where Trump's guys all seem to have anger issues and appear to have simply been bought.

What message?

Elect a woman? Let's call everyone a racist? Let's shut down the press if they disagree?

Her supporters are realists? You are giving me a good laugh, liberals live in fantasy land where money grows on trees, everyone is equal, and nobody is evil or greedy.

That may be optimistic, but it's as far from reality as you can get.

I've met a few con men in my time, and identified Obama as one before he ever got elected, and have been proved right.

Trump is not a conman. He is going to try to make good on his promises, whether he succeeds or not is another matter.

McFarlane has zero credibility when he supports Obama and Hillary, both are proven con artists who did not even try to accomplish many of their campaign promises, and who both have sold out.

Sure, justify your hate if it makes you feel better.

Hitler was able to justify his hate too.

Good luck with that...it will eat you up inside.

Can you imagine being a celebrity surrounded by yes women and yes men, catering to your need, friends, cast, makeup, production team etc. Everyone is like that to them except for a select few, ones that are like trump.
Even further out, these people do not interact with anyone in manufacturing or construction except the contractors who cater to build their houses.

It's like in the hunger games, the people who live in the capitol(LA, NYC) vs those who live in the districts(flyover country).

Notice he still hasn't shown his taxes... he smooth talked you right past that one.

Here is your chance to be a hero. Tell us all what would/will happen when we see his taxes? Will it change anything? Will it make anything better or worse? Will America suffer any more or less based on the outcome of what he did or didn't pay in taxes?

Please elaborate as much as you can on this, as you seem to think it's important.

See how that works? You can't defend Donald on merit so you all just immediately resort to, "But Hillary...". Forget about Hillary, the Clintons, Obama... this about Trump: what he says, what he does and whether he is a legit agent of change and champion of the working class or just another huckster telling you what you want to hear so he can feed his ego and his and his friends' bank accounts. Sure Kathy, we'll go look at diamonds this weekend... now take off your pants.

I don't know. Would people care if they see that the 'Champion of the working class - America First Man' was moving businesses and jobs overseas, avoiding taxes for decades to let the 'working class' pick up the tab? Would they care if he had business dealings with organizations that are known 'bad actors'? Would any of that matter to any of you? Or do you judge him based on what comes out of his mouth rather than what he actually does?
