Thanks for the memories!
I don't know about hidden meanings or what happened to the Bengals but, my daughter's basketball team used this as their theme song one year and they kicked butt from one end of the state to the other (undefeated state champs).
Fantastic year.
We jammed this song loud, on repeat, it was empowering for them.

P.S. Kind of 'over' the song now LOL

might i add, i'm a sucker for womens choices in music. And well, this one reminded me of one. Nail me for it i don't care even though i'm late to the party, i guess i'm just older than the new crowd like you guys. I admire you though for responding

Oh, I would never nail you (is that a bad term?) my friend, especially not for one's taste in music. My tastes are all over the board and I like what I like which spans many genres and years.

I'm certainly not new in terms of age. I believe I will start going backwards chronologically, that should do it.

You're a good sport!

To start, mind you I was born in 1964.
Saw Priest 5 times back in the day.

One of my all time favorites is 'Fade to Black', with 'For whom the Bell Tolls' a close second.

With a more modern sound is, Godsmack, 'Keep Away', or anything Godsmack really.LoL.

I actually love Karen Carpenter too! shhhhh.........don't tell. Think 'Tommy Boy'.

Her voice is, to me, an Angelic, haunting, melancholy of perfection.

I have a wide range of likes with some Contemporary Christian thrown in.
Kim Hill, 'Lover of My Soul'

You asked!
I know, strange guy!

I have a VERY wide range of likes. Just not into Rap or Hip Hop.

Was just dozing off listening to 'The Cure'.

Heard the long lost lyrics.

"There is nothing I can do [...]
And I feel like I'm being eaten
By a thousand million shivering furry holes
And I know that in the morning
I will wake up in the shivering cold
And the spiderman is always hungry..."

Was an opioid addict for many years, still am to be technical but clean for 15 years.

Talk about memories, and spot on lyrics! And being grateful!

Don't know why I had to share that besides being deliriously tired and nostalgic thanks to this thread.

Again, thanks for being there ATS family.

Goodnight
