So sorry to hear that....
Thoughts and prayers your way for what its worth.
I liked Katy Perry at first until she became the typical entertainment industry initiate.
I really liked "wide awake" when I heard it on the radio, it was one of my 'secret' favorites....Being an 80's Metal Head! I would sing this in the car! Don't tell anyone!
I should have never researched her. I wish I had taken the blue pill!
Life was so much easier before I was 'awake'.

Thanks for the memories!
I don't know about hidden meanings or what happened to the Bengals but, my daughter's basketball team used this as their theme song one year and they kicked butt from one end of the state to the other (undefeated state champs).
Fantastic year.
We jammed this song loud, on repeat, it was empowering for them.
P.S. Kind of 'over' the song now LOL

AARRRRGGHH.
I have heard this song at 3AM sung by men/women (more men?) that have no business singing at all... since it has been released. I live in the Philippines and Karaoke/Videoke is a BIG thing here. All I hear is noise. This is probably the first time I have hear/see this in it's original form. Not impressed.
To me it appears to me just a female empowering statement.
I feel it fails at that goal.
The imagery just satiates the basics of the concept of empowerment, but does nothing to lift it at all. Just a bunch of commercialized media garbage for the masses.
"Hear me roar", I Believe that was plagiarized...

Wow ok.....
You need to sing it again, then download it and sing it 20 times in a row and then contemplate on that for 24 hours before repeating the process.
Then after 3 mths get back to me and tell me how you feel.
Thanks for responding.

Glad someone appreciates it, LoL, some here don't seem too. I am just me, no personas. For better or worse.

WOW touchy today? That was a joke...ie; haha.(/sarc tag) I did make up my own mind, see my initial post. I don't need you to tell me how to mind my mind.
You are usually a bit more tolerant than this, from my observation.
Chill
