Meh.

They are funny but so is normal people and their everyday relevant humour that most can associate with.

Take Bobby Thompson for example, but anyways... Each to their own.

Ha, I must have triggered a bunch of people because I don't share their sense of humor.

Don't worry about me, I'm having plenty of fun.

That's amazing. I never even knew such a thing existed.

Extraordinary. Makes me wonder about the physics of it.

Many thanks for sharing!

That a gorgeous composition, all the elements of the environment came together really beautifully. Centering the tree under the arch of the bow really nails it in an almost fantasy story sense

But man, just look at all them snowflakes around that white rainbow. It's like nature's own commentary on the mentally drab PC movement

He used to live in my town. He would send his crew in with a limousine and scout for hot women in the local bars, ask them if they wanna party at Murphy's place. And they'd be thinking it was Irish-owned private poker club or something HE HEHE. Maybe he still has a place here in Woodstock. I'll ask around

The white only refers to the Trumpesident's natural hair color, before the strawberry-blonde part is airbrushed on. What is racist about that?!

Makes me proud to be a Scot. No doubt this Fogbow is sign that my ancestors are, like so many of their proud descendants, hung-over, a bit confused and ready start punching through the mist! By the way, we Scots come in all shapes, colors and preferences. We have black rainbows too except they only happen at night!

I hate white rainbows.

I hate those things, the way they crawl up your leg and bite you on the inside of your butt.

Oh, you meant white rainBOW. Okay, those are cool. That's a cool picture then.

At any rate, what caused the rainbow color to be muted?

Beautiful photograph. First time I've heard of or seen a white rainbow. It almost looks like a cylinder of cloud. A tornado that touched down on both ends.

Here you go , short but sweet explanation .

The fogbow's lack of colors is caused by the smaller water drops ... so small that the wavelength of light becomes important. Diffraction smears out colors that would be created by larger rainbow water drops ...[3]

It is a lovely pic.

Re: physics

Fogbows – sometimes called white rainbows, cloudbows or ghost rainbows – are made much as rainbows are, from the same configuration of sunlight and moisture. Rainbows happen when the air is filled with raindrops, and you always see a rainbow in the direction opposite the sun. Fogbows are much the same, always opposite the sun, but fogbows are caused by the small droplets inside a fog or cloud rather than larger raindrops.

What is a fogbow?

Beautiful! I've seen fog from San Fran to the East Coast but nearly nothing that neat looking(maybe it's part of the beauty of Scotland!). Mountain fog can be pretty close at times. Thanks for sharing.
