Greetings and Salutations-

I appreciate You trying to combat the non-positive but when Your subject is politics™, there isn't an avenue for positive. Politics has both "negativity" and "division" built-into the mechanics of each. Not only that but both are MAIN POINTS (Us vs. Them). Once the fear or threat of fear are acknowledged then the candidate/party stress these points to further DIVIDE from 'Them'..

Notice have even stooped to making references as "You guys lost, now suck it up and give US a chance..." "If Hitlery*(sic) had won, Trumpsters wouldn't be protesting..." Of course this can never be proven.

You KNOW who KNOWS this? (KNOW is emboldened as it 'trumps' (pun intended) 'think' "felt" 'believed'.) Politicians™ KNOW this. The ONLY way that 'We, The People...' can ever change the way politics™ has become is by " and "coming together and Uniting" but I'd opine it'll be just like the last 8 years where 1 Party refuses to work with the other..

How has the last 8 years gone? Who has gotten screwed? Who paid for this?
Snippy; Middle Class; Middle Class but that is to be expected as that is the way it ALWAYS is/was/will be. When 'They' try to make "Haves" out of "Have Nots" using the middle classes wallet, and remove the $$$ until a new class of 'Have Nots' is born out of the leaning scales...

Fact is you don't really know what you're talking about.

fact is your the one who doesn't have a clue, and i believe been drinking the kool aid.
hillary clinton only cares about hillary clinton and hers and not so much about hers. if there is money to be made on something she will push it, if she gains power she'll push it. those are her concerns.
just as soon as there isn't she will drop it like a hot potato. all you have to do is look at her past history without the blinding effects of the kool aid and it is painfully oblivious from her days as a over eager staff attorney for the house judiciary committee, to present, she has been geared to lining her greedy pockets and lust for power.

The other more important fact is, regardless of her motivations,

first off your nuts, motivations have everything to do with it. second i agree with sustainable energy, but not for the fact that there may or may not be global warming/ climate change. it's because fossil fuels are a finite resource.

After all the email leaks and speeches as well as the speeches from Donald and his total denial of Climate Science, I feel pretty good about Hillary Clinton's motivations on Climate and Green Sustainable Energy.

You're either in favor of Climate Science and support the measures needed to deal with Climate Change-- or you're not.

Hillary is for it. Trump and Republicans as a whole are against it and in complete denial. End of story.

Hillary's positions won the Popular Vote by over 1.3 million votes.

It means Trump has work to do to bring this country together when he couldn't even win the people's vote.

Means a whole lot of people didn't buy into his negative angry campaign.

And thankfully it means if Trump wants his country to support him, he's going to have to do for Hillary's supporters, what Hillary had to do for Bernie's supporters. Compromise on his positions to pull them in.

Latest update:

Hillary Clinton's Popular Vote Lead Over Donald Trump Now Exceeds 1.5 Million Votes
abcnews.go.com...

As of Saturday, Clinton had received 63,390,669 votes, while Trump received 61,820,845 votes -- a difference of 1,569,824, according to The AP.

The more this widens the more validation it brings to protests and members in government and media who are opposing this new Trump admin.

It means Hillary's words and ideas connect more with people than Trump.

Indeed. This winning by popular vote is an interesting factor this year. It should play into how much compromise gets done, and how much opposition has to happen. In our de facto parliamentary system, I am not looking at much compromise. The popular vote may play the greater factor in the task as the opposition.

A quick update on Hillary Clinton's historic 'Popular Vote' win...

Clinton's popular vote lead passes the 2 million mark
www.usatoday.com...

Never before has a candidate won the popular vote by such a large margin and not been elected President. 2 million votes... compare that to Gore's 550K vote lead in 2000.

That is a logically unsound statement. There are myriad reasons why people would vote for a specific candidate.

There is no validation to the whiney protesters because their candidate lost the election fair and square based on the well known rules that have been in place for a couple hundred years.

Hillary didn't compromise on anything with Bernie supporters, she screwed them after colluding with the dnc and main stream media to rig the primary against him.

I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge this... and to make this thread for anyone else who would like to acknowledge it.... I think ATS could use some positivity.

Now, forgive me for looking for the positive, but now that the election is over, no matter who you voted for, hopefully we can all applaud the history that was made by Hillary Clinton.

For the first time, in American history, a woman, Hillary Clinton, has won the people's vote for President of the United States.

"She’s a fighter... ...she does fight hard and she doesn’t quit and she doesn’t give up and I consider that to be a very good trait.” - Donald J. Trump

Now, I know many of us can get cynical and say the popular vote doesn't matter.... but think about that for a moment. The popular vote is the people's vote. It means she won the voice of the people. It means she won the hearts and minds of the people.

Hillary Clinton may not have won the 270 electoral votes, but she DID win the popular vote. That means, in the United States, for the first time ever, a woman was chosen by the people for the most powerful position on the planet. So many decades where people said a woman can't do it. And this, the first time we were even given the choice, the people said yes, we want her.

Undeniably historic. Undeniably important because it says a lot about us as a people.

This is not to take anything away from Trump... I am not challenging his 305 electoral votes. He did solid performance there.

This thread is simply to acknowledge the history that was made, not only by Hillary Clinton, but also by we the people, who for the first time in American history, voted a woman for President of the United States and won the Popular Vote by not just a few... but 700,000 votes (and counting)

Good for her. Good for us.

Seriously!
She is a vile, horrible woman whos campaign was partly funded by the same people who fund isis. She was the driving force behind the libya invasion that cost the lives of thousands of people, and also saw refuges flee into the country.

She was hell bent on starting a conflict with russia. Even blaming the leaked emails on russia.

Winning the popular vote only shows me that her supporters will sweep all the stuff dhe has done under the carpet, like it never happend.

I dont know about trump, but i hope he calms down the mess that has been caused by the Obama administration.

If she got in, then i believe would would have been looking at ww3.

I don't believe any of that BS about her and the popular vote.

Why did she lose, then?

She can be prez of Los Angeles if they love her so much.
