Huh, I just got done looking at it. It does look like lightning, but if there was no storm in the area, then what else would have caused it?

This was from the day before youtu.be... They seem to be getting pretty good (better than most) at predicting.
A tsunami has hit coastal communities in New Zealand after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the country's South Island. New Zealand's civil defence ministry warned people to move to higher ground as the tsunami threat could last for several hours. It said people close to the epicentre should expect waves of three to five metres high - but the warning applies to the whole coastline.
