There's still hope in my book.

There's always hope -- AND faith! But it has to come from us.

Sore losers and braggart winners are all a part of politics in every nation. After an election the losers vent their spleen and look like jerks. Likewise, the winners gloat and look like jerks. It is all part of the way of politics in free nations works.

Far from being a problem of sore losers and sore winners, I think the problem in the States is that you have two distinct groups of people who do not want to live with each other anymore.

What's wrong with a little end-zone dance after the touchdown.

Given the violence of the sore losers, I'd say an end-zone dance is just what we need.

In Portland, Oregon they were throwing molotov cocktails. Proving they legally shouldn't have the right to vote. Felons can't vote. Throwing molotov cocktails at police is a felony. And these were the people that voted for Hillary?

Plus throwing fire bombs at police is passive-aggressiveness. The police don't have anything to do with with the vote.

True enough... to an extent. But this was going vitriol has gone way too far, and started long before the election.

Ahhhhh... that's where I disagree. I think our problem is that we have one distinct group of people who won't play nice and basically want to force their will (and ego) on the rest of us -- some call themselves "left" and some call themselves "right.

Ask the NFL... I believe they call it unsportsmanlike display or something.

In terms of politics, nothing wrong with celebrating a victory... everything is wrong with rubbing the other team's noses in the drunken vomit.

Given the violence of the sore losers, I'd say an end-zone dance is just what we need.

Because it will end the violence? Because it will make the folks in harm's way safer? I'm not seeing any practical purpose whatsoever. In fact, I only see it as being foot soldiers in the divide-and-conquer campaign being waged against all of us.

Just exactly what is it that we "need" that gloating will achieve?

Who exactly?

Proving they legally shouldn't have the right to vote. Felons can't vote. Throwing molotov cocktails at police is a felony.

Ummmmm... not exactly. First these folks have to be convicted to be felons. Then, laws pertaining to restoration of civil rights (including the right to vote) vary by states. Some states automatically reinstate civil rights after completion of their sentence and restitution. Other states require that the convict apply for reinstatement. I'm assuming those states can deny the restoration. Other states have no such process, and the felon loses their civil rights forever. Other states don't take them away to begin with. There are probably other scenarios I've left out.

And these were the people that voted for Hillary?

At least some are. Others are hired thugs -- just working for a paycheck. (Several posts have been made on ATS about George Soros' hand in this, and Craigslist ads for Trump Protesters). I'm pretty sure others are agent provocateurs.

Plus throwing fire bombs at police is passive-aggressiveness. The police don't have anything to do with with the vote.

I don't see anything "passive" about throwing firebombs, but your point that police aren't responsible for the vote is well taken. However, when one understands that this isn't really about Hillary but is really about causing trouble, one also understands why police are also targeted.

Yup, Democrats lost me to Trump this time around. Hillary as your Candidate!? Honestly, even my dog could see she was corrupt. Trump, while not perfect, will do far better than even Bernie, who shilled for the corrupt Dems after he got his campaign stolen. Where were the Dem riots for Bernie? Face it the Dems have lost most of the smart people to Republicans and Trump. Unless they clean house for real. The next election will go to Trump again.

No, it's not POLITICS. People get in trouble and hurt, sometimes die, in years the opposition is in power.

This is not politics, my friend. This is war, and a one that cannot be won. It's life.

I was content to sit back too until people who spent the entire election cycle denigrating their opponents started sucking up and telling us we had to be the bigger people about it as though they hadn't just spent all that time calling us every nasty name in the book ...

I was content until they started riots over losing.

I was content until they started whining about the popular vote v. EC vote.

I was content until every other thread was some hyperbolic nonsense about how the world will end because they didn't get their way at the election.

Can't we just move on? No, I guess we can't, and it gets really old.

Contentment has nothing to do with it. But I would hope that your contentment would only increase knowing that you are the bigger person for all the right reasons -- not because anyone told you to be (well, except yourself telling yourself to be the bigger person). And for the same reasons, I would hope that your contentment wouldn't include lowering yourself to that level you seem to abhor for any reason, and especially not because "they did it first."

You mean like the cops that were murdered with the blessing of Obama? You mean the green light Obama gave to his Chicago thugs to go on a murdering rampage?

Ya, I think its time the other side of this did start dying. We are not a nation of thugs, we are a nation of laws. As much as you oppose law and order, its what we need in this country.

I think people are doing good considering they have been called:

Racist,racism,sexism,homophobia, islamophobia, xenophobioa, transphobia, intolerant,insensitive,white supremacist,Hitler,nazi,CIS,patriacrchy,hate,hate

For the better part of a year..

The losers who talked smack should receive the full wraith of the people they labeled. Forget being the bigger man here, all those nasty things said to Trump supporters this whole year is not magically forgotten.

So I don't have to tell you where to shove your sore winner post at.

PS now crawl back into your safe space..

If you don't want to vote anymore then more power to you. If you are so sensitive that you can't bear to see someone celebrate a victory, maybe we need to get you a participation award.

Fail. If they violate the law, and they know it, and the law they breached constitutes a felony, then they are not capable of self discipline or self-control. Just because they haven't been caught doesn't mean that they aren't felons.

Please take them elsewhere.

If you think people are "doing good" when they do the exact same thing you consider doing bad, then you're exactly the same. Just like them, you are playing the part of the foot soldier for those who would destroy this nation.

P.S. I don't take my marching orders from you. Safe space? Indeed! I put myself right on the front battle lines... I'm not the one who can't handle a little adversity and needs a safe space.
