Sore Winners: We all MUST do better
originally posted by: Kapriti
Sore losers and braggart winners are all a part of politics in every nation. After an election the losers vent their spleen and look like jerks. Likewise, the winners gloat and look like jerks. It is all part of the way of politics in free nations works.
Far from being a problem of sore losers and sore winners, I think the problem in the States is that you have two distinct groups of people who do not want to live with each other anymore.
What's wrong with a little end-zone dance after the touchdown.
Given the violence of the sore losers, I'd say an end-zone dance is just what we need.

In Portland, Oregon they were throwing molotov cocktails.
Proving they legally shouldn't have the right to vote. Felons can't vote. Throwing molotov cocktails at police is a felony.
And these were the people that voted for Hillary?
Plus throwing fire bombs at police is passive-aggressiveness. The police don't have anything to do with with the vote.

I was content to sit back too until people who spent the entire election cycle denigrating their opponents started sucking up and telling us we had to be the bigger people about it as though they hadn't just spent all that time calling us every nasty name in the book ...
I was content until they started riots over losing.
I was content until they started whining about the popular vote v. EC vote.
I was content until every other thread was some hyperbolic nonsense about how the world will end because they didn't get their way at the election.
Can't we just move on? No, I guess we can't, and it gets really old.

Contentment has nothing to do with it. But I would hope that your contentment would only increase knowing that you are the bigger person for all the right reasons -- not because anyone told you to be (well, except yourself telling yourself to be the bigger person). And for the same reasons, I would hope that your contentment wouldn't include lowering yourself to that level you seem to abhor for any reason, and especially not because "they did it first."

No, it's not POLITICS. People get in trouble and hurt, sometimes die, in years the opposition is in power.
This is not politics, my friend. This is war, and a one that cannot be won. It's life.
