Wow I hadn't seen all that action. My earlier response was to the 50 second version. They brought out actual tactical ops troops. And that scene with the camera guy trying to mosh pit his way to the front.

I think the 'elephant in the room' in these assassination attempts is the media climate of anti-Trump rhetoric. He's been smeared as a fascist, a danger to democracy, a threat to world peace, a Russian spy, a rapist, a crook, a new Hitler, a new Mussolini, you name it.

Is it any wonder a few nut-nuts think they'd be doing the world and posterity a huge favour by taking out Trump?

Believe you me, if this were happening to Hillary, the media would be screaming blue murder about a sinister far-right attempt to pervert the course of democracy itself. Hell, people are still bringing up the "Welcome to Dallas" fliers issued before the JFK assassination.

And the other thing is: I thought Secret Service protection had been granted for all presidential candidates this cycle? Three near-misses on the same guy in the space of a few months is mighty unusual.

As a famous espionager once put it: "Once is happenstance; twice is coincidence; but three times is enemy action."

I think the investigation should begin with the assumption Clinton paid for an assassin. Rule out the most likely first.

If she pulled that instant civil war ans her assination would take a 1000% increase in likelyhood. BAd move all around unless it's your last move?

I think a better move is a quiet behind the scenes psy op with death threats and dead dogs stolen cars broken into houses to get trump to feel scared and then tell him what he's going to do as pres.

So yea highly unlikely.

The way Trumps Secret Service shielded him from threat , seemed pretty telling , and the way Secret Service served the perpetrator in the crowd , with a couple disorientating haymakers , seemed to solidify the severity of offense.

Considering the reported on-line threat of a shooter before it happened, it seems likely he had a gun.
I hope we find out for certain, but this just happened, so it might take a bit.

They are used to removing protestors, and it does not usually go down like this.
So, I think we can be sure it was not a normal protestor.

That is why I think it's best to wait and see what information comes out before we knee jerk out of partisan stupidity.

It could be a Hillary supporter, it could be a lone nut and it could be a misunderstanding of some sort.

We don't know. Let's do the most logical thing and be patient before we concoct conspiracies.

well not for sure..

someone said they had a gun, so there is a death threat so when something happened they must assume gun.. That could be a false gun report right? But their reaction would have to be a real gun reaction, if they had that warning beforehand.

So I don't think we can tell by the video.

When people speak in absolutes or speculate out of sheer ignorance or political bias, we have to reel them back in to reality.
