If there was a firearm involved there is literally NO CHANCE he'd have come back out no matter how badly he wanted to and certainly not after the 5-10 minutes or so that he was offstage. That would've shown there was a serious security breach and the secret service would've shut the entire event down for fear of secondary threats.

This is the sort of situation where social media and the immediate dispersal of information is a negative. Rumors like this are a disservice to all regardless of which side you support.

Balls of steel, c'mon. All it proves is that the "threat" was not serious.
