If Hillary Clinton wins this election I can’t help but ask, have Americans really lost any respect for law and order? Have we really no integrity anymore whatsoever? Could a majority of the American people still choose to ignore the mountain of baggage this woman carries and choose her to be the president of the United States? Seriously?

As a young person growing up in America back in the day, the office of the Presidency seemed like the most grandiose position, title, job, that only the most highly regarded, deeply respected and honorable people among us could ever hold. Back then, in the 80’s as a teenager entering the twenty-somethings, I didn’t even think a person who had traffic tickets would ever have a chance to become president. Damn, how things have changed!

Has America really gone that far down the proverbial path of self-destroying immoral collapse I see happening before my very eyes? Does this woman of the lowest character truly have a chance to be the beacon of youthful aspiration, the symbol of the American dream?

I’m practically crying as I write this. Sorry folks, for being so melodramatic, but it saddens me deeply to realize this is truly where America has gone, especially as I gaze over to my children playing so innocently, unaware of the future we have laid for them.

What message does it send to them when a majority of American people willingly choose a person with so many allegations of wrongdoing from fraud in the hundreds of millions, to knowingly mishandling classified information, to rumors of suspicious deaths in her inner-circles, to influencing the outcomes of elections and on and on and on. What message does it send?

If we continue on this path of self-righteousness and total disregard for the overall health of the general public, this attitude of ‘as long as I get mine,’ how can we continue to be surprised when kids shoot up schools, when cops are gunned down in the streets, night clubs and malls are sprayed with terrorist’s bullets or kids as young as 12 years-old overdose on drugs?

If you can vote in good conscious for Hillary Clinton, and act dismayed over the current decay of our society, the be careful, because you are getting what you wish for. But, if you are one of those who don’t think our society is in any decline, then I understand your support for her.

All I can do now is do my duty and vote, then pray… Pray that America is still God’s country and a majority of us still believe the office of the presidency is one of utmost respect, integrity and honor!

We get the president we deserve.

That being said, I will never acknowledge Hillary Clinton as president. Not that it'll matter, but it will be my silent protest.

And we still are allowed to protest.

Yes. We have been programmed away from morality to amorality by TV, Movies, De education. Its been a long slow road but every thing you see on TV is either a crime a scam or payback. How many murders, robberies and scandals we got to absorb before we go meh, big deal.

Whats right or wrong with lies, corruption, scandal? Seems 'everyone does it'. Can I get some, even a little bit?

If you want it take it. If it feels good, do it.

Partisanship happened.

The loss of respect for the office started a long time ago. It is one thing not to agree with the policy positions of the person in the office, but it has translated into hating that person because of their positions for too many people.

Bill Clinton used a cigar for something other than smoking on a 22 year old intern in the Oval Office...

Plus he raped a bunch of people...

And people excused it as "just sex."

Now, I am not saying he should have been impeached over it, and he wasn't despite popular belief. But he should not have been so staunchly defended either.

I agree with what you said and would add that it has been the goal of the establishment to 'program' through the education system as well.

The manipulation and programming is a fact for any who cares to research it.

What we are seeing in society now is the fruition of the labors of the elite programmers.

I see you mentioned 'de education', yep I agree with all you said.

It has nothing to do with the president.
People have no respect for anyone or anything now.
When moral standards disappeared, so did respect.

The same elite that set such a fine example for us when they destroy nations. They trained us not to care anymore, so they can get away with that s***.

I agree wholeheartedly, but we have to also consider what would've happened if the internet was around 'back in the day'. We've all heard about the escapades (to a certain extent) of the past presidents, (even before Kennedy) it would've been a whole 'nother thing had the internet and immediate news been around. I remember during the Viet Nam war it took a week or so to see news, now we see immediate, if not 'live' news, so that makes a huge difference. If we didn't have the internet now, does any of us think that this crazy joke called the election would be what it is? The internet is what made this what it is, well, that and the media, without the internet we would still be 'in the dark', so to speak.

Trump is the one bringing it down. He will remove any shred of dignity from the office. He uses the F-bomb on TV, he's a bigot, a racist, and is trying to bring the Clinton's down to his level.

But yes the office is losing it's dignity with him, but not only that, it's integrity. And any remote semblance of it's being "for all the people", while he doesn't hide the fact he still stands for the wealthy. White, rich men to be exact. If you are female, you are nothing but a sex toy to be judged by HIM on a scale of 1-10. Sorry girls, accomplishment and intelligence doesn't rate as far as this perv is concerned. But your boobs have to be a nice fake D, apparently, he's bought enough for his girlfriends.

WTH are his tax returns? Who does he do business with? How is he going to take out ISIS? Where does he keep his money? Aside Mitt Romney's on some island somewhere? Why did he spend Trump foundation money to have his portrait painted? Isn't that bizarre?

No integrity at all. He's a disgrace to our political system.

Also the Constitution and in particular the Bill of Rights is a formidable document for would be oppressors to overcome so it probably leads to political apathy overtime but slowly corruption corrodes everything. Just shocking to see how average citizens venerate enable protect the corrupt for their parasitic piece.

"They (Clintons) represent power and money , we the people represent truth and justice" said Mr D Trump.

Put these rabid political dogs down when you get the chance Americans and return to the light and again become the beacon
of light for the world as you were before these plutocratic duplicitous career politicians got their greedy hands on your tax
and used it for their own goals

Electing either Trump or Clinton puts someone in that has no respect for the office.

If you think there is any lower the Clintons could go, then you aren't looking.

Trump is crude, but the Clintons only have a polished veneer that hides the scum underneath.

I don't think we'll see anyone deserving of respect in the Oval Office until we start electing outsiders and anti-establishment people.

Until then, it'll be a succession of deplorable people, not even worthy of being spat on.

Best you have a look at the history of many of the men who were US presidents in the past.

Iran-Contra, Watergate, Teapot Dome, Black Friday...the list goes on.

Best get googling.

We won't get people worthy of respect until we get a populace who recalls what real values are.

Vietnam, Iraq, Iran Contra, torture with no trials, $25 trillion in debt..

Also no one intelligent respects something simply because of the prestige or authority. It seems like you kinda have a weird and creepy obsession with love for your country and stuff.
