When you say the content of a field, do you mean the entire DB column - all the values in that column of the table, or just that field for a specific row?

More like a (input id="text" type="text") field. The value of which I would get by invoking JS' document.getEleme ntById("text").value;.

I think JS can connect to a DB, you just have to be pretty careful about security.

Actually I want the DB to be accessible by the client. I want to build a forum, so the content of the DB will only be storing members posts.

In any instances I'm looking for the most bare, simplest code to read/write a DB, and will be applying security afterwards.

Must be boys night out. Tech talk. It's like a whole new language. LOL I'm sitting here going...'what???' We have a computer forum and one for website design. I don't know if that will help or not. Sorry, I wasn't paying much attention earlier because I don't know the first thing about technical things. Carry on kind Sirs.

Lol sorry!

In my defence, the tech discussion has somehow something to do with the Shed.

I like many genres John. I prefer horror/spooky hauntings, sci-fi and fantasy the most though. And you?

Well my favourite movies are sci-fi / fantasy, and of course I always like a good comedy.

Doctor Who is pretty fun, I've seen it from the very start (the first episode was in 1963).

However nowadays I've started watching japanese anime, such as Soul Eater, Clannad, Last Exile, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Death Note. Death Note is pretty cool, if you ask me - it's an awesome thriller, very well thought and super smart. I highly recommend it if ever you want to start watching japanese animes. A man gains the power to kill by simply writing in a book sent by Death gods, and his nemesis is a guy called "L" - he's pretty smart, like a Sherlock Holmes but even smarter. The whole thing becomes pretty thrilling as they both try to elude each other.

And My Little Pony - I really feel guilty about that one.

I've only seen the most recent series. I heard John De Lancie (Q, in Star Trek) was in it (he voices Discord), so I got curious.

Good morning everyone

I just wanted to share this photo I took last night of the sunset. I was looking at it this morning and decided, "This would be much better if I photoshopped out all the human interference." So.. I spent an hour doing just that, haha.

Ahhh, no powerlines!

Hope everyone is doing well!
Our heatwave has finally broken. We had a wonderful, fantastic, amazing storm the other night. Was talking with Dave at the time and he was marvelling at all the thunder in my background, teehee. And then the next day (yesterday) a nice 25 degree day (mid-70s) and likely to be that again today! Hooray!

So my son and I are planning to sit back and relax today, just a nice quiet day. I'm also, as of this morning, FINALLY completely over that annoying cold/flu thing. No more coughs, sniffles, lethargy, braindead-ness, hooray!
