It's snowing as I am writing. The rising sun is coming through the clouds.

Have you guys seen the news on the front page? They've found a dinosaur tail preserved in amber! Turns out the tail was feathered, too. So cool!

I love precious rocks as much as I love animals. This amber makes me pale with envy! A snapshot of the past, preserved for millions of years.

Just awesome.

Edit:

And the tail! It confirms that dinosaurs had feathered tails! The structure of the feathers wasn't allowing for flight, probably more for thermal insulation (since alot of heat can be wasted through a tail). I wonder if they've found structures of alpha-keratin in the feathers - that would be so cool!

I hope so. The film crew have a pretty sweet job. They go around filming and interviewing people all across Canada.
And get to experience each job first hand.
Everyday is something different for them.

We need an Elven Army about 8000 strong... running over a snowy mountain-top,
With a flurry of about 30 dragons, circling overhead... strafing some fleeing Ogres with fiery-breath.
A Witch Queen on the ramparts of her dark castle, astride a Dire-Wolfe morphing into a dark shadow before disappearing into the local McDonalds.
A quick fly around inside Beyonce's dressing room. (Twice!)
Then some claustrophobic shots of the inside of a commercial custard makers vats?
Finishing off with a close-up of Tom's beard...


I'll go take a look now!

I found a nice drone video of the Raft Race down where my holiday flat is...

Anyway...
You can see my actual flat (where the Shed Gathering took place a couple of years back) at 1:50 and around 3:15 in that video! I think that it shows off the Island quite well.

A VERY nice and interesting hobby/line of work you have there!

If it actually is him, then he was in Jupiter Ascending. A pretty neat Sci-Fi flick that came out a few years back
