New documentary about to be released in Australia in November surrounding a (not so hidden) men's right's group MRA (mens' rights activism). Film maker Cassie Jaye takes a journey as a young feminist into the hidden world of men advocacy groups. Expecting to uncover swaths of misogynistic women hating men whom lurk in seedy internet and public forums, she instead discovers a truth which forces her to undergo a transformation of preconceived notions regarding her own belief system. "The Red Pill" however, is not without it's opposition. Namely, feminists.

They really don't want this film shown.

Today a small feminist group has succeeded in shutting down a screening of a movie that discusses issues that they fear might interfere with their agenda. What’s surprising is that these feminists are silencing a documentary The Red Pill made by an award-winning feminist filmmaker. Cassie Jaye started interviewing leaders of the Men’s Rights Movement (MRM) intending to challenge their misogynist views but ended up impressed by their arguments on a whole range of issues she came to see as unfairly stacked against men and boys.

They've even managed to get Facebook to shut down a "blokes advice group"

Facebook have taken down the ‘blokes advice’ group which had over 200,000 members. It is believed that Facebook caved into pressure from feminists to have the group removed. An online petition by feminist hate group ‘The red heart campaign‘ received 15,000 signatures to have the group shut down.

Well folks, we're nearing 2017 now and in my 40+ years I have never witnessed so much rage and division against men. The dark side of feminism is to be a misandrist man hater. I don't support it. I support human rights. However, when push comes to shove, men's groups will appear and rightfully so. Feminism is pushing us all back 100 years and being a male, I too have undergone discrimination and physical assault. My nose was first broken by a woman in 1990. My parental rights were, well, I never had parental rights. I only got meet him once he turned 16 after he contacted me. I've had relationships in my 20's which turned physically violent. Been spat on, had my hair pulled, punched etc. I've seen friends get just absolutely hosed by the courts in custodial battles. I've got a friend now who has avoided courts, pays the mother handsomely while he still struggles in a bachelor apartment for the last 10 years. When she decides he can see his kid is when he can see his kid while she screws the government for house payments. I don't even know what's going on there, she's from Mexico and doesn't work. He works 24/7 to make ends meet.

Then comes along Cassie Jaye, expecting to blow the lid off the men's group but begins to question what "feminism" really is. Good for her. I'm glad she made this documentary and I'm eager to watch it. This isn't a game of who gets oppressed the most. Women have their advantages and so do men. Women are from Venus and men are from Mars, we have our differences and we all have our bad days.

I remember the early 70's back in grade 1 or 2, as we stood outside after recess, waiting in two gender segregated lines. We would take turns chanting back to each other, "Boys are better than girls, girls are better than boys" and so forth. That was a long long time ago. Now we're all adults but there's a different mantra. "Women are oppressed by Men". Really? When did this happen? It's 2016.

At any rate, here's the extended trailer of "The Red Pill" and a shout out to all the guys who have fallen victim to the system in one way or another.

So feminists are stepping on the rights of women to free speech.

Sounds about right.

How does one justify such behavior?

Seems like quite the paradox.

The perceived "right" to not be offended justifies anything one wants it to justify.

They do not value consistency or logic. It is a highly emotional and impulsive movement full of double think and thought crime. The worst part is, most are aware of the moral hypocrisy in their own movement but see the methods as justifiable means to idealistic end, and will thus fain ignorance when this is pointed out. Deplorable in its most literal sense.

(As a small caveat, I am referring to third wave feminists and regressives, both male and female, not women in general. Obvious... but unfortunately necessary.)

Well without their man-hating narrative what reason do feminist groups have to exist?

Its about equality.

They dont focus on just specific discussions on mens issues to shut them down, they equally shut down all discussions of men, and including shutting down just men talking (mansplaining).

You know...equality...

Shesh, it says so right in the dictionary. see...just like racism
erm, I mean nevermind, racism isn't what it means in the dictionary, you can't be racist towards whites, cant be sexist towards men either.

But the definition of feminism is totally legit. just about equality..now shut all discussions of inequality against men down now!!!

When people consider the term feminism from a historical perspective, it is hit and miss.
Those who know history will know the distinction between say, womans suffrage movement and suffragettes. between womans advocacy and equal rights movement in the 60s and the splinter group of feminism that broke off around the 70s to focus on social issues..

and then the 3rd wave feminism today verses the uninformed "feminist" who simply thinks it actually is about equality and not being painted into a gender stereotype. Those are the ones that call themselves a feminist in their teens/tweens, but then realize the actual movement is really radically different than what lines they were fed about it being about equality.

When I hear some super young girl say she is a feminist, I simply ask her what that means to her..if she knows the wage gap is actually just a earnings gap made pretty much fully by choice and how they check the statistics, etc. Normally they feel I am lying initially because if it was true what I say, that would be stupid...often they then check to try to disprove and a short time later, they are no longer a feminist (typically. saved my niece from that nonsense awhile back)

Thanks, watching now. Interesting thing she pointed out regarding custody battles. 80% of women win rights to the children, but then they turn that around and say it's discriminating to expect women to be the ones to raise the children. ??

Someone said something about a paradox.

I work directly in the "Red Pill" industry..... Or what is known as "The Manosphere"

I consult for men who are looking for some no BS self improvement..... Guys who can't get laid, need to improve their appearance etc....

It DEF attracts attention from angry women..... But the truth is that most women could benefit from my work as well.

Feminists are rarely "Feminine" Most normal women don't like them any more than men do.

And thats just it. They are a extreme fringe minority. Women like men to be traditionally men. Confident, maintained, etc..men like women to be feminine also.
People on the fringe can reject that, their perogative, but then they get mad that everyone else didn't go along with their nonsense.

I am just not sure how the fringe got such a huge spotlight. I guess everyone likes a circus.

You might be completely correct, but what of young women such as those in colleges? I have a feeling they believe in the feminist agenda.

Most universities are fine, its of course when you start wandering into the humanities majors, specifically things like gender studies and stuff where you meet the actual cultists.
The rest of the university folks are just trying to have the normal university experience. partys, boys, good grades, music, etc etc...

But what fun is it when the camera is turned on the normal men and women..you turn it on to the ones making a ruckus..and the problem is with that, it gets airtime, and more insanity gets attracted to that scene.

but yeah, there are some courses that directly push the nonsense...the manipulators with a teaching job.

If it was the normal stance, these anti-free speech demonstrations would have hundreds upon hundreds of students all demanding to shut down discussions..but its not..its rarely even 50.

But 50 loudmouths can be overwhelming to some faculty member just trying to do their job.

I suppose that is true. I still remember hearing a college aged male and female not long ago having a conversation. The female was explaining that the male had an invisible thing around him, perhaps an aura, and that this impacted her as a white woman. Frankly if a woman said this to me I would respond, "I am not oppressing you. You oppress yourself through such beliefs that you are being oppressed." or something to that effect.

Oh yes I remember a video of PhD trying to answer some student group. He was rather patient.

This is a big problem on the left and Democrat party in general.

the college town where I am from breeds quite a lot of feminist types..
The patriarchy the patriarchy!!
You get payed as much as I do lol...
Hush I'm a girl...
What?

hahaha...

"But men force us to wear bras!! "
nah you do you girl you don't need a bra
"yes I do for SUPPORT, you don't understand anything about women's struggles!"

LOL
it's too much sometimes.

Oh and I'm a sexist too.. I am only attracted to girls.. No boys allowed.

honestly I'm just a humanist, and from that viewpoint it's easier to see Nazis, but it is baffling the nazis never know they're Nazis.. They always think they are defending something when they are on the attack.. Thinking they are protecting rights when they are trampling rights and trying to control other humans.. Odd behavior but I've seen it enough to know the pattern.. You become the supposed enemy you face every time.. And you (not you, reading, but you somewhere)never learn.
