The pools show Hillary is the next president, and according to Putin that will be the beginning of WW3

So I thought it was about time I made a top10 basic cheap items that you need to keep yourself and your family alive.. or atleast a fighting chance if you survived the first wave of nukes.

Are you really going to want to survive WW3 if it happens??
Surviving is not living.
Existence in a radiated wasteland of death or living generation after generation inside some underground military bunker isn't a valid option to not having a living planet.
All I need for WW3 is bottle, some bud, a good seat and someone to share those final hours with. What's left afterward will be a sh*t existence for anything still here.
Not to mention the fact that IMO if we're the cause of nuclear fallout on earth we don't deserve to survive it anyway.

You really only need three:
- Common sense
- Determination
- Luck
Everything else is a convenience. A keen eye will tell you if you're in a radioactive area. Just watch the animals/plants around you. First aid kits are nice, but people survived on their wits long before band-aids. Fires can be started with sticks and vines. Water can be purified by boiling. Survival tools can be fashioned from basic items found in nature, or even better, by using junk.
Without the three things listed above, all your list will do is benefit others who find your body.

Fair enough. I just don't want folks thinking these are all you need. They would be convenient, just not necessary.
If there is another World War, especially one in the US, it will be an eye-opening experience for almost everyone. War ain't pretty, and it ain't romantic. War is pure hell. We as a society are far too dependent on things, and not dependent enough on ourselves.
That said, those are some helpful items. They're just not going to help anyone survive their own inner weaknesses.
