I can not wait to play this. Have not gotten it yet because I figure it will be on sale somewhere between now and Christmas, with a little patience, PC games always drop in price fairly quickly. The better half and I have a huge map hotseat game of civ 5 going anyways. Have to finish that first.

I really like the idea of spreading cities out from just one hex and the limited use workers. It adds a whole new strategic layer to the game. Splitting the tech tree makes sense too. Combining units is nice, but I was already doing the two units per hex thing in civ 5 with mods.

Does anyone know if they added map and tech trading back into the game?

Looks amazing. I also got into Civ on the third. I also agree about four. But I dont really have a PC to play games on that can run them enjoyably. I enjoyed the console version that was released, Revolution. Any plans on another console civilization game? That sure would be swell.

I've read that complaint a lot. I think several have said that it's a big enough complaint that they may be tweaking it fairly soon.

So was I , the plus side is it only takes them one turn to build a structure , 3 uses and they're gone.

I'm coming round to it now though , it forces more strategic decision on how and where you use them.

You can get government policies that give them more builds. Last time I made a worker I think he had 7 builds instead of 3. I do recall a policy giving +2 builds at least.

Anyway yeah, This Civ is great. I'm a huge fan. There are alot of improvements. I really like the new warmonger system, particularly when it comes to AI action.

The system requirements don't look too bad either being it just came out. I am still running a 750 ti but this should work fine.

Same here. I have no problems with the graphics.

Thanks , I will check that out

One of the smallest but most useful improvements for me is the inclusion of a real world clock top right , helps me keep one foot in reality.

Digital Deluxe Edition

Expand your empire further with the Civilization VI Digital Deluxe which includes the full base game, the 25th Anniversary Digital Soundtrack, and access to four post-launch DLC packs* that will add new maps, scenarios, civilizations and leaders for a bundled discount.

*Save vs buying DLC packs a la carte. Individual DLC may be sold separately. If you purchase the Digital Deluxe, do not also purchase these standalone packs, as you will be charged for them.

my online presence shall suffer in others.

Yeah, I gave up long ago on doing any serious mmo's or even just multiplayer fps's..too many single player time sinks..however, civ 6 does have multiplayer...

You can give experienced military units their own names? That's cool. So my Roman army is running around with two named units now. Used to be three but stupid Catherine took out my archers.

Husband says you always could, but I just never noticed that in Civ 5.

I haven't figured out how you are supposed to stack units yet. I just got done having a spat with France over a city state.

I'm not the belligerent sort in most of my games, but she provoked me and I had to march all over her with my Roman legions of doom.

I also like how siege units are actual siege units now. It never made sense that you could roam around with a flotilla of ranged units and no matter what they were they were equally good at both city bombardment and unit bombardment. Now archers are archers and catapults are catapults and each excels at what it should.
edit on 23-10-2016 by ketsuko because: (no reason given)

Yes , you can now build new cities without fear.
The central happiness meter has gone to be replaced with city happiness.

Yeah it's on a per-city basis now. The new equivalent is amenities.
