The party he's associated with does not want him representing them to the point that they're helping his opponent succeed.

Thus, by trying to disqualify Trump the Republican party is essentially saying to half of the voters "We don't care who you want, our interests come first."

And somehow this is democracy? Why even pretend anymore?

It also is on the same par as hillary's deplorables statements.

I think it's time to show them what they are up against?

Elect Trump and give them hell if they are up for re election or running.

What is happening? This is a coup by the Republican establishment against the voters. Think about this Did they pull Mccain support over this?

Wrong it only solidified his support among people that think for themselves, those that see it for what it is, a mutual flirt between the two. I think you're right, but it has to be said that in recent history presidentials have been won by very narrow margins rather than by landslides, and even if this scandal loses Trump two per cent support that could be the difference between election and defeat, especially if that two per cent were to switch to Clinton.
