I understand. At the time there was supposed to be no business with Iran based on sanctions but they were a special case. This means two things.

1. Trump did NOT rent to them they came with the other occupants
2. The government allowed another entity, the previous owners, to rent to them.

It is the largest business deal ever for a building sale when he sold it in 2003.

FAO and the flagship Apple store are there also. It is a beautiful building.

So, what is the issue? Again, a business deal where there is nothing nefarious. Just like writing off on you taxes. It is something that happens.

He is not subject to the same scrutiny as a public servant.
For example:
If he were the secretary of state having dealings with questionable entities. Then such scrutiny would be warranted. But in the case for Trump he is a lot like Ross Perot. Who by the way didn't release his tax return either.

He is a business man and has no control over the individuals using his services.

Could a lawyer have determined that during a business negotiation?
If NOT then Trump wouldn't KNOW would he?
is there any OVERSIGHT to international deals?

MY POINT IS IT WAS 99 TO 04 IF YOU READ IT ALL, THE BANKS DEALINGS WERE FOUND OUT AFTER THE FACT, LIKE IN THE TITLE: LATER LINKED TO TERRORISM...... YOU'RE MAKING IT SOUND LIKE HE KNEW ALL ALONG AND WAS HELPING FUND TERRORISM.
